Thank you for watching and thanks for the observation. Galveston sure has some historic buildings in the downtown area… have you visited Galveston before?

Galveston and it's beaches are a nice place. People love to take a big dump on Galveston and it's beaches, i.e., they're nasty, dirty, don't compare to California, Hawaii, Florida, etc, etc...or obviously not as pretty and cool as South Padre Island, but it's not that bad. Galveston beaches are not top tier, but they are not as shitty as people make them out to be. Galveston is a beautiful historical town, and the beaches are OK, nice enough. The breeze makes it cool, even in the summer months, much cooler than the rest of Texas.

My mother's family was originally from there. They moved out during the 1940s and eventually settled in Los Angeles for good. Old neighborhood they used to live in on that island no longer exists sadly. My great-grandfather built a few shotgun homes there according to what my folks told me back in the day, shame I didn't get to know him better before he passed away just over 30 years ago (I was around 7 or 8 at the time). I do wonder what they would honestly think of their old hometown if they could see it today... 🤔
