Actually it IS pronounced Le- Bo because it's a FRENCH name. LeBeau means the handsome. EAU in french makes an O sound (and also means water).

***** Ra's al Ghul (as it is spelled in the comics) is an arabic phrase meaning "The Demon's Head" and it is pronounced as Raysh Al ghul. Not sure why they changed it in the Dark knight trilogy and Arrow (although League of Assassin members call him by the proper pronunciation in Arrow)

Brain Demons They changed it to like "Rahz" was because that is closer to how it would actually be pronounced in arab dialects. BUT the intended pronunciation by the creator of the character was Raysh. So for the DC universe it should be pronounced Raysh (In that way the Dark Knight trilogy got it wrong, unless they were going for "realism"), but everywhere else it should be Rahz.

You forgot to mention a few more powers Gambit has. Instead of fully charging an object with kinetic energy to make it explode Gambit can charge the object partialy to make it hit with a lot more force the phisicaly possible.For example he can charge his bo-staff with so much energy that it can level a house with a single strike,or smash it in the ground to create an earthquake. Gambit also can infuse an object with kinetic energy in a way that it makes it brake apart at a molecular level,disolving said object.He once used this power to free himself from a block of ice,he was incased in,by melting the ice without hurting himself. He also has a low level healing factor,although he might have lost this ability in the curent canon.

When you talked about your pronunciation of LeBeau, I was like "Alright. Not how I pronounce it (even before the Wolverine Movie. I'm almost certain they pronounce it the other way in the X-Men cartoon but I don't remember for sure.) but I'll go with it." Then you said it four times in 30 seconds and I was like O_O. I enjoyed the video though. Gambit is my favorite X-Men and one of my top 5 Marvel characters and top 10 Comic Characters in general.

Well there was an x men storyline where he became a horseman of apocalypse and had his original powers restored. With them he had near complete control over kinetic energy he was able to stop movement ( of anything ) pratically freezing any form of attack in place, charge thing instantainiously, in the end he returned to being himself and used the full extent of his powers after which they burned out and returned to his normal levels. I cant remember the storyline's name but he was damn near invincable for a little while

Being from the New Orleans area, I have always been a huge fan of Gambit. I love how they made him part of a thieves guild because there are "dark areas" in New Orleans past and that is one of them. You are right that there are numerous ways to pronounce his last name. But because of Gambit being from New Orleans it is the other way because of the French background. Other than that, loved what you said and layed out his background. 8 of 10!

An alternate universe Gambit (with unrestrained power) was also responsible for killing all but himself and the 616 and Ultimate Gambits (because of some prophecy about a version of Gambit causing the end of reality [spoiler alert: it was the one who went universe-hopping and tried to kill all of his alternates]), causing 616-Gambit to reverse the surgery temporarily in an attempt to even the fight against the universe-hopper. Gambit's unrestrained power would have given him full control over all energy in the universe. Gambit is an Omega-level Mutant, but the surgery essentially put a mental boundary on his powers. He thinks he can't access his full power, and he has no knowledge of how to surpass his current power or desire to do so. That's the only thing keeping him from accessing it. It's like Superman's most recent origin-revamp: he put up mental blocks that stopped him from accessing his full powers, because he didn't want them.
