I’ve never heard anyone in the world of magic say they don’t respect Daniel Madison. If ppl have said it, it’s only Bc they’re salty. He’s a legend. Not everyone performs table sleights based on card cheating in this modern world of visual, visual, visual - change, change, change - gimmick layered onto basic principle, gimmick layered onto basic principle, gimmick layered onto basic principle. The moves, false shuffles, false shuffles, shifts, cuts, deck switches, and the performance style that accompanies it may not be for every magician - but for my money, it’s the best kind of magic. Some take decades to master. As a magician, you don’t have to want to learn it, but if you call yourself a magician, you have to respect it. Great comment brother

@@williedunn12345 I’m talking about looking inward, looking at the man and what he’s overcome. Ppl whine and complain about external circumstances without ever looking within and it’s created a world of victims to their own lack of self discipline. That’s my point. I also don’t recall Ricky Jay posting tutorials to KZbin. I don’t think he’s done anything apart from Jay’s Journal of Anomalies (I could be wrong). Lesser tiered than Ricky, R. Paul Wilson’s a good cheat, but I also don’t recall him giving out material for free - he has some great downloads and for older heads like me DVD’s and VHS. Now re read that comment again with the proper lens. No one said he was the man behind the Erdnase dude. My favorite card mechanic ever is Richard Turner, but again, correct me if I’m wrong but has Mr. Turner ever given away or even sold a project? Idk if he can teach what he knows. I was thanking Daniel for what he’s given freely of himself all these years and for the projects on Ellusionist and Theory 11 before that. IMO it’s a tragedy to the art when the secrets die with the magician. Few have given back what Daniel has after overcoming so many personal demons. That’s the lens by which I wrote that response. Now I don’t pretend to know 0.1% of everything in magic history so I always ask when I think I can learn something. You have card mechanic by your name. Who’d you recommend studying under? And what projects/books?
