Married to my husband for 15 years we just had a baby 7 weeks ago...I am trying my best to hang in there as I am an RN so I have always picked up when he has been short. I am struggling because I absolutely love him but I do not see a stable financial future or retirement with him. I feel that we should be further ahead in life. Now I am getting bank loan denial letters in the mail from him seeking loans...not sure what to do because he lies when I ask questions. Not sure what I am going to do...Phil when you spoke of the loans it really stuck with me...as I am going through it.

Time for a serious intervention, your husband needs help, addiction is a terrible thing but I believe we as humans have the strength to beat any addiction if they will is there, your husband needs to find the will or be guided to the will to beat this addiction, many addicts shy away from asking for help as they are ashamed, there's no need to be ashamed, addiction can hit anyone good or bad, I know from experience, I wish you well.

Phil saw sense and got out at the right time, he would have probably ended up on the street or some hostel if he had carried on, I like a bet myself but I'm sensible, I know I can't beat the bookies.

Thanks for another great video and sharing your experiences. Digging ourselves back out of the hole we got ourselves into isn't an easy process but worth it in the long run. The less you gamble the easier and less stressful your life becomes month by month.

You get freedom from the stress of not knowing if your next session will go OK, or financially incapacitate you for weeks to come. Your need for secrecy or outright dishonesty to cover your tracks ends. You gradually regain some control over your life. And so much else besides.

.good content, gmabling fkd my savings last year big time, i had 20k saved up and now i got 5k, i lost complete control around 12k, i was staking £500 per bet , mental, lesson learnt. The mad thing is, i used to be a winning gambler with value betting and matched betting

Hi Phil, Could you do a video please on someone like my partner? He’s at that point now where he knows when to stop… as in he pays all his bills but Blows ALL of his left over funds. I’m having to pay half the bills yet I don’t work! I’m disabled and have children.
