This show is now 6 years old and still very helpful for a beginner like me. Black Jack Apprenticeship now has a great training suite. Thanks Bob and Richard, your shows are a great help to me. They are very interesting and enjoyable.

I'm obsessed with counting cards! I'm only about 3 weeks into training. So far I can keep a running count on a slow dealer.

Around 20 minutes Richard discussed Small Cap and KJ. KJs approach is much better 2 ways. He can return everywhere and see his wins surpass. Small Cap. He also has not helped casino employees identify anyone. Small Cap is making a more skilled, more confident Casino employee, in the process hurting others, as well as himself.

I have to disagree. I don't think KJ can ever catch Smallcap in earnings. Smallcap wins at 5x to 10x the rate of KJ. Yes he has to keep moving but just because he gets barred doesn't mean he can never go back. I think it really boils down to personal preference in play style, and the size of one's bankroll.

@@RichardWMunchkin Did you have an episode in which you interviewed KJ? Can't find any other reference to "KJ" on your channel. Thanks in advance!

@@powellsa No, he was never on the show, and I don't know if he is still playing.

@@RichardWMunchkin OK. I'll see if I can find any info on him. I'm in Cincinnati, and have five casinos within a couple hours of me. I'd rather take the "slow and steady" approach, in hopes of keeping those casinos viable for a long while. I have BS down cold, and currently working hard on my counting skills. Determined to be ready to try out my skills at the casinos by the time they open back up. LOVE the show ‐ thank you both for all of the great info and inspiration. Keep up the good work!

@@RichardWMunchkin I think if u live in Vegas and trying to build a bank then optimizing for longevity it's more valuable, but if that's not the case then bombs away get booted and move on is the way to go!

A better way it's just to watch people playing blackjack at a casino on KZbin like MG slots and keep a count.
@coinholio4702 жыл бұрын
This is good to practice keeping a running count in realistic conditions, however it's tough to find videos that have the whole table including the discard tray in frame to practice true count as well.

I always though BJ players were crazy for learning that game rather than poker but ive played 1/4 million hands worked my ass off in upswing lab and yt videos and im up 250$ from my last deposit and last 60k hands but i lost about 1200$ getting here maybe learning BJ would have been easier.
