I was thinking the same thing. 2x or 0 means in round 2 either the round 1 winner doubles their credit or the round 1 loser is clears their debt. Vedal both cleared the round 1 debt and doubled the round 2 credit, so basically no downsides to losing round 1. Thankfully, this just prolongs the Subathon, so no loses there to anyone involved.

if you convert the numbers on the wheel to be relative to the current timer they would be bonkers. They were bonkers on the first spin already. While it may sound like the subaton would never end if all the numbers were multipliers on current timer, in practice the subaton will end way before the increment reaches zero. People will donate less when its less effective, meaning there really is never need to go so far. If the timer is already going down, even small changes will increase the rate significantly.

The way he did the wheel sucks. Wheel of Fortune style wheel, as in one with slices of varying size/probability would have been better. Most of the large slices should have been +1/-1, +2/-2, small amounts. +10 should be a small slice, with two slightly larger -5s to either side. Double or Nothing could have been a similarly small slice. But what do I know?

tough I kind of agree, it destroys the true gambling feeling. If you decrease the chance of getting the high numbers and increase the chance of getting small ones, you will create a situation where its likely that the timer will just go up and down for the same amount or barely any change for a few days, if not longer. If you then hit big on minus or plus, it changes everything, as it is very unlikely to shift back again. Also, the "double or nothing" was a last minute idea and a hardcore gamble. I don't even think he would have gone the way, if he hit another minus number. I mean, if he hit anything above minus 4 (or under minus 4? I am confused), it would probably end right there. But I do agree it would have been a better wheel if it was one like filians, where you can adjust the probability of each number. That way he could change the probability of +/- 1, 2, 3, after every round.

@OlafJorigson something to ponder if he revisits the wheel next year. I have no issue with having a gamba wheel. I do get irrationally annoyed at his version of the wheel specifically. Which, frankly, is a strange thought to process. By all means, it shouldn't irritate me as much as it does. 😆 I guess I have just seen so many better implementations of a gamble wheel. 🤦‍♂️

Vedal runs the wheel every day, which is just RNG -Xs lowers the amount of seconds added to the timer per sub, +Xs adds to it If we go too low, the subathon will quickly end

Objectively, I don't think it matters, since the spin speed is random anyways, but having it jumbled up does give the illusion of "fairness"/"darn, I almost had it" so if Vedal wants to continue this gambling ring on twitch, that's a good idea.
