This game should be seen as a moral victory for Gukesh. I didn't expect him to draw this game. This is like a win to him as evident from his post match conference. Remember he is still to win a game against Ding in classical. I don't see it changing for a foreseeable future.

I mean if they don't acknowledge this has ALREADY started- prompting telepathically and amplifying this "connection" with large numbers of audiences and broadcasters with attention to real time moves- just note this date and remember this was pointed out and we all knew. Not sure about first few days, as the connection gets weak when you move in to a new venue, etc, and maybe this was not as apparent. But once things have settled, this is back. I really wished I am wrong but I guess everybody knows but look the other way. But as Garry just said this is not even a WC with Magnus not playing, so yeah maybe it does not matter at all. But still, why not just put a 1 hour delay and see the effect???? ???

It's hard to believe that Ding didn't at least try for a win. It looked like a position that a top GM could push for an advantage. But I am not a GM and probably am overlooking something. The problem is that Ding has been playing like this since his last championship. You would have thought that he would be more be more optimistic after winning the first game with black.

Ding can win the tournament if he draws every other game from now too so maybe he was just careful and defensive
