What's the thing about "stagnating while building space ship parts"? At 7:20, also a bit earlier. 14:25 I fear I don't understand the problem of double engineering. "No overflow"? It doesn't go into the Apollo Program?

The idea is that by working production tiles over food tiles, you can get more production, at the cost of stagnating the city. It's only worth it when your production is very very important, as in building space ship parts.

@@arthurthiele979 So the train of thought is "we'll get some citizens now so that we're okay losing them later when building the spaceship"?
@arthurthiele9794 жыл бұрын
@@Tatherwood Not quite, although in some cases that might be worth it. Filthy usually prioritises growth and food very heavily in cities. What he means by 'stagnating for spaceship parts' is sacrificing that growth (which wouldn't matter much, since the game will end shortly) for more production. i.e. going to ~0 excess food to prioritise more production

@@arthurthiele979 Right. Ugh, I really wish he could've kept up the over-explaining all through his playlists. I get that it must've been hard, once you get into the game, but... Thanks for answers ^^

what did you do to cause all the AI to declare war??
@Tatherwood4 жыл бұрын
It's the AI. It'll get mad at you for the dumbest reasons. Like, if you get ally with a CS they like, they'll complain to you, and if you're not apologetic, they'll dislike you. Keep piling those up, eventually they'll denounce you. Or sometimes you'll get targeted simply for being military weak, especially by warmongering nations. Fun part is, if you FIGHT BACK, you receive a bigger penalty for the other AIs than the AI that actually started the war. In this particular case, he was targeted either because he was lead in science (meaning, he's in a position to win, which they obviously don't want, so they try to "fight back"), or because he slipped a bit with military and so they targeted him. Which, again, doesn't make much sense. Attila was lead in Tourism and they didn't Denounce him, or bring the fight to him, so... Yeah, AI will be AI.

@@Tatherwood Ever since I started using infoaddict's relationships chart I noticed that the biggest thing triggering the AI is allying with an enemy of theirs. Every single time, around the industrial era the world star polarizing. And eventually becomes 2 polarized parts. If you use the mod, you can actually choose the group you want in. But otherwise, without the mod it's so hard to track it.
