I am a Montrealer, but the Hawks are my favorite team. Since Rocky Wirtz took over this is the most lovable franchise. The 2009-2010 Hawks were one of the best teams in hockey history, with more than FOUR trios scoring goals. And I should agree: the UC is perhaps the only place that can compete with the Bell Center (Mtl). Hawks fan til until I die.

@dmg8787 even a s a jackets fan i agree. you guys do have the best sweaters in the nhl at the moment. I think the cbj's have the best "modern day" jersey, but even with the RBK re-branding, you guys still have the nicest jersey in the history of the nhl.
@adgaliff14 жыл бұрын
i never been to both, but i am sure its the same, nucks fan might be a lil crazier. the loudest game i went to was game 4 of the cbj/detroit last year... even tho my cbj lost in dramatic fashion that place was fucking rocking!

@Brutananadilewski007 I have to agree. I'm an avid Wings fan., Live in Detroit. The atmosphere at the UC is second to none. I saw the wings play there in April, and the building as a whole is awesome I wish wings fans would be as paaionate as blackhawks fans. at wings games you get the fans from the burbs that just sit on there hands the whole time. The United Center is absolutely crazy!

All the talk of HOSSA not being present in the playoffs can stop. What people do not realize is even if he is not scoring he is important. He plays hard every shift. What a game. The preds are a good team. That is what I love about hockey. 7 and 8 seeds are just as good as the rest. Look at all other sports the bottom is really the bottom. Go Hawks

Never been to a sweeter Hawks game. From the National Anthem to Kane's goal to bring it to OT, to Hossa winning it, the Madhouse on Madison was on FIRE!!! Hossa couldnt even give a star of the game interview cause he couldn't hear himself. HAWKS ALL DAY!

@AppReviewerWill Man i said it right after this game, this was the turning point in our run. We lose, like you said we go down 2-3, go to nashville and prolly get eliminated. But WE WIN, we ease throught the canucks, sweep the sharks, and win in 6 against the flyers! gosh this team was fun to watch!
@ryanoertel947512 жыл бұрын
im from chicago and i agree wholeheartedly about bandwagon fans however i can truely say im a true fan i remember going to hawks games since i was 5 and the place would be empty...yes im only 20 so majority of when i watched it was in the days of bulls so the UC was empty at hawks games and im actually glad for the lockout cause now bandwagon fans of the hawks will go away and tickets to games will be alot easier to obtain
@bbal241613 жыл бұрын
People don't realize how large the UC is and to get it rockin like chicago fans do is just crazy!!! I would have to say the only other building that competes is the Bell Centre in Montreal. A lot of buildings are so small and its easier to get them loud and yes i've been to other cities games

Thumbs Up if you think this was the turning point in the blackhawks post season. Think about it, if we lost we would have been down 2-3 and prolly been eliminated... BTW i was at this game it was amazing

@AppReviewerWill No, the "turning point" of that season (and this franchise) was on Oct 13, 2009 when the Blackhawks allowed 5 unanswered goals in the first period against Calgary but battled back scoring 5 straight to tie it up - then win it in OT... That was one of the Blackhawks first games back from going all the way to the Western Conference Finals the previous Spring/Summer......After Oct 13, 2009 the Stanley Cup was the Blackhawks and there was nothing any team could do about it..... That game against Calgary really showed the players that no matter how out of grasp a game or a situation may seem - they can always come back and win... The Hawks were basically unstoppable from 2010-2015 2010: Blackhawks win Cup. 2011: Dropped the first 3 games to Vancouver - the Hawks win the next 3 games and took Game 7 to OT but lost on a bad bounce (still unbelievable comeback).. Not many teams can come back from being down 0-3 and force a Game 7 OT.... Best part is Patrick Sharp almost ended it - he hit the post in OT... Blackhawks knock off Vancouver (who went to The Finals) no doubt in my mind they win the Cup. 2012: Phoenix beat the Hawks, but that is worst loss the Hawks would have until 2016. 2013: Blackhawks win the Cup. 2 goals in 17 seconds, like all the other comebacks the Hawks thought they were going to a game 7 down by a goal late in the 3rd period - NOPE - Bickell scores, 17 seconds later Bolland scores. 2014: Blackhawks lose WCF in OT Game 7, Hawks win that game and they go on to easily win the Cup. 2015: Blackhawks win the Cup. My point? The Hawks were destined to be beasts for 6 years and it took a little luck to stop them from winning 5 Cups in 6 years..... They could have easily - they got 3..

The game that changed the playoffs. As a hawks fan if we lost that game we would've lost the series.

@zzyzx0788 cont'd Thank god for Rocky Wirtz, I was never lucky enough to get exposed to hockey growing up in the 90s, and he allowed my love of not only the Blackhawks but of hockey altogether. I feel like a huge chunk of life got taken away without hockey in the 90s. Having the TV and radio exposure to Blackhawks is what caused the resurgence of hockey in Chicago.

The sooner Nashville gets eliminated, the better. If a team can't sell out a playoff game, they don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

@iinna09 If Hossa would have done that at the Bridgestone Arena I'm sure you wouldn't be able to say this. I believe Hossa should have been sent of the ice, although I considered the hit on Klein (game 2/3 or something?) way worse and that one only got a 2 minute minor. I'm sure you can understand that having Hossa score the winning goal that game left an extra sour taste. You can laugh all you want, but karma will hopefully come back to bite you then.

@77HeIix We had a "mean owner"? No we had a dipshit of an owner who let the popular announcer go, burned tons of bridges amongst former players, and refused to allow TV broadcasts of the games. Then Rocky Wirtz, took over, undid all the damage, got Pat Foley back as the announcer and got all the games on TV, which was the most important part. In fact pretty much instantly after Rocky took over the Hawks have led the league in attendance every year, even BEFORE the cup win

Bandwagon fans? My first game was Christmas night 1961. Hawks 3 Leafs 3. Hawks score 3 times in last 4 minutes of game. I stopped going for about 5 years when they'd sell or trade a good player due for a raise. Don't call me a band wagon fan.
