One of the hardest games of my life. Swear I was like 6-7 years old, getting so frustrated with it. I did end up completing it twice. You couldnt save the game or anything on gameboy, you'd have to start from the beginning and do a whole runthrough if I remember. The prison level at the end was so much fun, and as angry as the game made me, it felt so good to finish. Plus it sparked my love for cowboys and the wild west, and is the reason I got into Red Dead Redemption

Wasn't my first game but I have fond memories of this....got it for my 8th birthday along with the first Conker the Squirrel game before he became an alcoholic weirdo who pisses on rocks. This was a really cool cowboy game for the GBC. Fun gameplay but darn near impossible to win I never beat the game. One of the coolest things about this game is the music it sounds like authentic Western cowboy music in 8-bit

One of of the developers is dead: Fernando Velez was the co-founder of the French game development studio VD-dev (formerly Velez & Dubail and Digital Concept). He passed away on 22nd June 2016 at the age of 46.

my first GB game besides Tetris, what an awsome choise i made back in the time where you always had to have some reserve batteries at hand. we did an 5 week round trip over whole Australia and a constantly played this game. i wasn't sure if i've ever beaten it but now that i saw this i remember i did so. i remember this Torado level was difficult. in this level about 27 minutes in, you can stand on the barrel and get shot up in the air to collect the stars when the bull destroys the barrel

The only thing I see and hear are the copied movements and used sounds from Bugs Bunny - Carrot Crazy and Obelix😅 But they came from the same developers so it's not a big surprise.

Well, both have the same publisher and composer, but the developers are different (Bit Managers for Obelix ; VD-Dev for Lucky Luke and Carrot Crazy). Oh, and there were only 2 people at VD-Dev. One of them sadly passed away a few years ago ;-;

All of Lucky Luke's locations are margarita trails because the very first level is in Mexico City and the cowboy world themed stages are the states Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico which were parts of Mexico before becoming US states and these states often hold margarita festivals.
