Those analog keys look so cool! Does this meaning my character will now walk if I hold the key down halfway instead of jog on a traditional board where its either on or off?
@theASMRnerd2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's exactly what it means! It's a cool feature, and I find it's especially useful for driving games.

In my opinion, you are right: there could be the simple improvement of using a housing made out of for example Aluminum, but I also think they went with plastic because it allows for a very good “straight out of the box” sound. Plastic is also cheaper, so they have more profit without having to increase the price of the keyboard.

great vid as always :) Would you recommend building/modding a keyboard or just straight up buying a complete keyboard for a pc?
@theASMRnerd2 жыл бұрын
It really depends! If you're keen on customizing every aspect of the board, then of course a custom build is the way to go. However, if it's your first mechanical keyboard, and you find all the options intimidating, then there are some excellent pre-builts out there that are also quite customizable and will allow you to tinker down the road. The GMMK2 is an excellent middle-ground, IMO, because it's great stock, but also very flexible.
@soully95682 жыл бұрын
@@theASMRnerd I see. The reason why I thought about building a keyboard because I watched your pokemon keyboard and was impressed by the sound, cost, and the fact that it seemed pretty easy to pull off.

Every asmrtists dream, I got slightly tired of using controller to have a walking stride I now need this keyboard
@theASMRnerd2 жыл бұрын
Haha yes, it's great for the slow walk in games! That said, you'll still be panning with the mouse, which is less than ideal, so controller might still be best for cinematic applications.

This is amazing, I personally prefer soft spoken type of vids over the whispering. Even though it definitely triggers tingles for me at times I find whispering a bit creepy and unsettling to listen too 😂 and I can’t fall asleep to whispering because of that reason, but these videos I’m out quick 💤😴

Thanks for these reviews that you do. You mention towards the end that the keyboard perhaps isn't "the best sounding" you've used, etc. And this led me to wonder if you have a ranking list of sorts somewhere, with a list of your favourite keyboards?
@theASMRnerd2 жыл бұрын
You're very welcome! I don't have a formal ranking of favs, but a few recent ones that I've really enjoyed using and that I think sound great are the IQUNIX OG80 Wormhole, the MelGeek Mojo84, and the Mountain Everest 60. Personally, I think they all sound a bit better than the Wooting HE60, and are priced in the same ballpark. You can find unboxings and sound tests with each of them here on my channel. However, none of them have the analog switches, so the Wooting has that going for it! Wooting's software is also the best of the bunch.
@davidhasayt2 жыл бұрын
@@theASMRnerd Thank you so much. I'm looking to replace my slightly "tired" old keyboard, and I trust your opinion on these matters. I'll take a look into those you mentioned above.

Fantastic video as always. Definitely an interesting idea incorporating analog switches into a keyboard, not to mention using hall effect sensors for the mechanism as well. Very clever on the part of the Wooting team. By the way, I dig the new camera angle for showing off the RGB. Although I do prefer the way you split up the screen in the past with the software view larger and the keyboard view smaller. I had a bit of trouble reading some of the UI text elements for the software, whereas I think the keyboard RGB effects can still be made out fairly easily even when reduced in size. That being said, I am very often in the minority when it comes to things like this, so it's entirely possible I'm the only one who feels this way 😁
@theASMRnerd2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the thoughtful feedback, Alex! You're absolutely right about some elements of the software being tough to see the way I have it in this video. Next time I'll try to strike a better balance where the software window is bigger.
