Bringing Revo back for BD2's soundtrack was the best thing they could have done. What a badass of a composer. I've made a video talking about some other BD2 themes, by the way. Watch it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3ytq3Vuerl2eLc

I always enjoy revos trend of filling the final boss theme with references of everything else
@fen63003 жыл бұрын
The thing is that this boss is trying to eat your memories, and the fact that the second phase of the boss, where you tell him "lol no you can't" is a medley is so awesome. I know it's the same in BD1, but it's so much more meaningful in BD2.
@DaviVasc3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I've seen people hating on the medley for being basically the same thing Revo did on BD1, but I think it was so much better implemented and integrated with the story on BD2

Great video! Eyes That Gaze Into the Nexus is such an amazing track that has really, really grown on me over time. I think I honestly enjoy it more than Serpent Eating the Horizon at this point. It's also crazy how Adelle's Special Theme is my favorite, but Seth's has such an amazing impact when it happens in this song. IMO it captures the role Seth is supposed to play, and the theory that he's the Nexus's "Black-Haired Companion", Adelle, Gloria, and Elvis have these very structured, but still triumphant/heroic themes...then Seth comes in and matches the Nexus chaos for chaos. His theme is so fast, and technical and really captures the moment of finally breaking free from the darkness. It flows into the main theme so perfectly, but makes as much of an impact as Tiz's theme does in Serpent, even if it comes last instead of first. I also love how absolutely insane the titles are for the songs in BD2, they feel like Coheed and Cambria meets Panic! At the Disco: Battle Against the Ones Bestowed with Stars The Seafarer's Skills Tame the Storm The Princess's Pride Blossoms in the Rain of Sorrow Mother Earth's Toast of Toasts after the Battles And Thus, the Wandering Flame Rises Higher And of course, the subject of this video: Eyes That Gaze into the Nexus - The Ones Who Gather Stars in the Night

I've been waiting for this video! This theme is truly magnificent. I was so excited when I listened to this for the first time because many references to other pieces appear throughout this theme. This theme is very well-thought-out piece and the perfect culmination of BD2. Sure enough, there are some references which I couldn't notice when I was playing the game so I really enjoyed your explanations. Very informative. Thank you for your amazing reaction video, Davi!

Could you review the themes "Villains" and "Battle Against Villains"? I think they're particularly good, and the characters you battle to this theme are quite twisted but memorable. The "Villains" theme plays when the villains of Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and Chapter 3 are revealed; the "Battle Against Villains" theme plays when you fight each villain. In the game, it opens with the same bit the other boss battles open with, but in the soundtrack the opening was removed.

10:05 Actually is the theme of the battle with sir sloan
@DaviVasc3 жыл бұрын
Sir Sloan's battle uses the main theme melody. But I should have specified in the video that it is not exactly BD2's main theme, it's BD1's main theme which is often used as the series main theme.
@AderiantheTactician3 жыл бұрын
Basically, but since the song ranges from the asterisk's themes to the main characters themes / special attack themes, I take it as a reference to "a trial for the brave ones" which is sir sloan's theme. (sorry if I write strange, I speak Spanish xd)

I'm kinda unmotivated to make more Bravely videos because the videos always get claimed. I'm coming off of a 2 month long battle with one of Revo's record lables about my BDII Edna's Theme video, they even took the video down for several weeks. I'll still make BD content because it's so important to me, but it's going to be more rare, unfortunately. Hopefully you can enjoy the other stuff I've been putting out in the mean time.
