@@JD-yz4kr Still, I've never heard of this version of Iron Fist until this game, and considering most people only watch the movies and never read comics, I'm sure majority of the audience never heard of him either. That would be like using Jay Garrick version of The Flash instead of Barry Allen or Wally West, but I don't think that's a fair comparison because Jay Garrick is more well known than this version of Iron Fist.

I had a commenter yesterday, on a different video, stating that Concord failed because it's a hero shooter and all hero shooters fail, other than Marvel Rivals due to the IP. I don't get why some people just don't want to admit that importance of visuals. Visuals are literally the first thing that people will base their opinion on.

If you look at the skins a lot of these characters have more classic looking costumes for many of the heroes, psylocke is one of them

Yeah I did look at some of the additional skins but my main focus was to look at the defaults, since these are the visuals that people will see before they boot up the game. A point I want to drive home with people, is that the visuals for a game is what the audience will formulate their initial opinion.

@ i hear your perspective but lets say that were banned in video games, it wouldn’t make a difference. Men would just find other ways. And stellar blade is softcore? Then maybe the world should shotdowm beaches everywhere. I think regular men enjoy looking at an attractive female but dont let it consume them. Dont let it, ruin them. Because its a part of life men will ve exposed to in one way or another and i feel like sheltering or babying men from that reality will not help. Some people are so used to modern Western trend of making women in games look like mutated orcs that when they see attractive female characters for a change they call them "hypersexualized" and call the game they are in a "gooner game". Greeks and Romans used to make statues depicting idealized human form. Were they also "gooners"? Were the Renaissance painters and sculptors "pron addicts"? Beauty should be celebrated, not feared. Also, isn't it funny how nobody complains about good looking male characters? For some reason having hot dudes in a game doesn't make it a "bean flicker game". On an unrelated note - your audio sounds weird in this video. Very robotic. Maybe you cranked up the noise removal too high?

They don't complain about the male characters because they know that the majority of the audience are males. But at the same time, they don't want to admit that the majority of the audience are males. They want to pretend it's a 50/50 split. I've been trouble shooting to see what's causing the issues with my audio. It's a hardware issue. I've tried different mics, different XLR cables, different USB cords, and 2 different audio mixers. My guess at this point is that both the audio mixers are bad and I either need a new audio mixer or get a new stand for my USB mic.

@@SabrPath Huh, that's weird. I've never heard of such an issue before. If you have another PC available you can try connecting the mixers to it. Maybe it's a weird software issue. It's unlikely that two mixers developed the same fault at the same time independently.

One of the mixers was having all sorts of problems. Keeps becoming an unrecognized device, and other crazy behavior. I got a full refund on it. The other mixer is over 10 years old and it was in an outdoor storage unit for several months. It's possible that the humidity might have effected it and it might be causing the issues from that. I've reconnected my Blue Yeti mic and will use that for my next videos. The reason why I stopped using it in the first place is because the spider clamp fell apart, also over 10 years old. I'm not really in a position to buy new hardware so I gotta make due with what I have.

I over looked listening to the recordings before opening them in the editor. I'm 5 minutes into the raw recording and I don't hear any audio distortion. So at this point I'm thinking Adobe Premiere is messing up the audio after I import the file.

Was understandable the failure of concord giving some rumors the studio did had that "toxic positivity" inside as ignoring main complain which if addressed could has saved this game. Really founded a shame ended up like it did since the lore and gameplay (if did changed some things like add a cooldown timer for some abilities and specially addresses that weird forced swap characters for buffs) had potential. Just hoped with that game, game developers be more aware of what people criticize, or else will end up like concord and others alike.

Toxic positivity creates a culture of people being afraid of speaking up, or at the very least they second guess their own opinion. When I worked at Treyarch, I recall the studio having an internal reveal of the multiplayer trailer that showcases the different Specialists. I remember one of the Sr. Producers having a big smile on his face and telling me something along the lines of "What you think of the trailer? Great, huh?" and I told him the display of the different Specialists was good, but the song was over used. His smile went away really quickly and I can tell he didn't expect that answer. My coworker told me I had balls for saying that to him. And I'm not taking credit for the trailer changing because I dunno what happened behind the scenes, but when that trailer was released to the public, a completely different song was used. My point being, people need to just not care, and be vocal within the studio when they think something is not going to work.

@@SabrPath well, not every idea is the most brilliant or people are always right. As a team no one is perfect and will commit some mistakes or decisions which may not be the best. Still, is cool to see something like that and you still get your job at that time, feedback is for that, in the attempt for improve what seems not Great, and that's what concord really did pay off to see when not listen to basically none of the important ones.

I heard this from a female youtuber not so long ago (I don't remember which). She said that she supports sexualized females, as well as sexualized males. Basically, she just wanted everyone to be sexualized, equally. When it comes to sexualization, we only focus on it, when it comes to females, while the sexualization of males are always overlooked. Also, based solely on anecdotes, it seems like a lot of women enjoy female character designs, that are beautiful, sexy or cute. So I am somewhat confused, as to whom we are trying to protect? PS: Obviously sexualization can be taken too far, to the point where it becomes detrimental to the game (if it becomes silly).

I'm against sexualization all together. For example, games like Dream Daddy and Boyfriend Dungeon. They get celebrated for existing, yet the same people who elevate those games are also against games that sexualize women. Also, I don't believe that men and women are the same. A woman's beauty has more effect on others (men and women) than a man's handsomeness has an effect on others. So something that sexualizes a woman may not sexualize a man. Finally, I agree that most women want to see attractive female characters. Attractive people will always be appealing to people in general. As a man, I want to hire someone who looks clean and appears that he has his life together. I don't want so hire someone who looks like a slob and may have problems in his life that he needs to overcome.

I would argue that people don’t actually care if something is a knockoff. If a knockoff looks good people will totally play it. In fact if something looks exactly like my favorite game, and I don’t have a sequel of that game to play, and the knockoff is GOOD I am more likely to want to play the game. It’s aesthetic first because that’s the first impression. If you get past the aesthetic, then it’s the gameplay that keeps people around.

I think more often if something looks like a knock off, it has a higher chance of failing. I can't think of baby examples in which something looks like a knock off and it's successful. Off the top of my head I can think of Palworld.

@ I agree, that chances are it’s bad, that’s why I stipulated that if it’s a knockoff and also good. Also, a bad knockoff tends to look bad. Even if someone copies something, it still takes skill to copy something well. Like if an artists draws a unique character and another artists draws the same character and it looks awesome, the second artists is still a good artist. A bad artists would draw that character poorly. As for examples off the top of my head Lies of P is a Dark Souls game minus character creation, Astrobot is just robot Mario, Shadows of Mordor is an awful lot like Arkham, etc. Stylistically I also think at a glance Marvel Rivals is closer to Overwatch than Concord, although all three have their own unique look and mechanics. I’m just saying that being a knockoff won’t stop people from playing a game if it’s good, and chances are a good knockoff makers are fans of the original and will have made improvements on the original idea.

Concord got the sound of the first two letters correct: caca. I played it for about an hour, uninstalled, and got a refund. I tried to like it, but it was simply not fun. I was (and still am) indifferent to the woke stuff. I was willing to .tolerate the ugly characters. You need to offer something fun. Woke is not something to offer.

I don't agree. This game is not like The First Descendant. The First Descendant has hyper sexualized women, which is drawing its audience. Marvel Rivals on the other hand is not leaning on hyper sexualization. Instead it's leaning on flashy semi-anime visuals. Hundreds of people lost their jobs due to Concord. Rather than act like it's a mystery as to why the game failed, it's important to understand that games need to be visually appealing to bring in the customers.

Helldivers is a PVE game. Players are supposed to play the contents produced by the devs like Monster Hunter. That justified the price. However, Concord is a PVP game. Players themselves are the contents. These two are totally different things, so $40 is the biggest reason for Concord failure. Most players are suck in PVP games and no one wants to pay for the experience.

You're overlooking that Concord had a free open beta, which I stated in this video. No one played it when it was free and on the front page of the Playstation store. This completely debunks the claim that the price point is why no one played it.

And I know it had a closed beta, but I'm specifically talking about when it had a free open beta and they had it advertised on the front page of the playstation store. This goes to my entire point, the visuals. People made up their minds on the game because they saw the visuals. The visuals are the first thing people base their opinion off of. People see the visuals before they see what the price point is. Just like the argument about pronouns killing the game. There are so artists who have made revisions of the character designs because it's clear that they are bad designs. Everyone sees those designs way before they see $40 and way before they see pronouns on the character select screen.

Pricetag doesn't dictate if a game fails or not. Helldivers is paid and even so was a successful game, as for OW 1 (not counting when it was from the 2) or even rainbow six siege which both paid games and still successful. If a game actually fails is what they are providing for it, being free or not.

Let me tell you how to prove your claim: Make a PVP Hero Shooter game with sexy attractive characters by yourself and price it at $40. If your point is correct, you can make a big money and forget about the laughable KZbinr thing. I can't see any reason why you are not doing that.
