How does anyone feel sorry for that guy? Maybe this video doesn’t convey the horrors of what he did to the AI crew, but it’s not AI crew- it’s the people in a digital body that feels pain. He codes them to feel pain- and therefore when he tortures them (a lot) (for eternity) (to kids as well) they feel the horrors. It just goes on and on- hes a sadistic, perverted narcissist and you can’t help but be relieved that he isn’t CEO 💀💀

If this is how VR Tech is abused then I don't think we should have it in real life. What this guy did to these AI programmed characters was very evil. It was even more cruel that they knew exactly what they were and where they were trapped.

Still feel bad for Daly. Yeah, he took out his frustrations onto the AI counterparts, but those frustrations were a result of him being used and abused in the real world. His so-called friend basically took credit and reaped the financial rewards for Daly’s creation while treating him like crap and no one questioned it because he was charming and sociable and the target of his selfishness was someone on the social fringes.

I think Daly is a victim who chose to become the bully. A much worse one at that. Walton admits he was going to say sorry and Daly had every reason to be mad at him, but Daly threw his son out of an airlock

I’m pretty sure Daly didn’t die. Surely there are protocols to regain consciousness after a certain period of time like maybe 12 hours? But still if Daly can’t report it as its something illegal as no consent involve & creepy. Eventho its stolen property, when police found out whats its for it may be worse for him. However it begs the question if cloning and torturing ‘cookies’ are illegal or not hm. Many things to think about

There's a lot talked about concerning "cookies" in Black Mirror. Originally no, you could do whatever you wanted and there's a LOT of examples of torturing them. Like the cookies inside stuffed bears, or the ones tricked into confessions that are then punished for millions of years in their time, or the one that's continuously executed over and over again (which also had been copied countless times as a souvenir). But eventually they do get rights and count as people within the Black Mirror universe. Even to some nonsensical degrees. Like in San Junapiro, where they act like a cookie copy of someone dying literally IS them. That one made no sense. They acted like that was the afterlife, when its actually just copying them when they die, and real them dies, while a copy lives on....
