Nice videography beginning at 12:55 letting the field fly through the locked frame then smoothly panning with Mike as he enters the shot. Also, it made a nice contrast to the hectic in-car footage.

Awesome job of driving Mike! I only saw the race through the lens of Mandees camera. But it appeared during both heat and main events, you had zero contact with other cars. I admire your patience and respect your efforts to not abuse your fellow competitors. My ideal race would be to start last, pass one car per lap cleanly, win in a photo finish. Nobody will have any bitches or complaints, and you will have NO apologies. It's called scoreboard and respect. Keep up the good work. Thank you Mandee

Great job movin' up through the middle into the cushion in the heat. He ran those guys down and picked off a couple. When he quit floatin' down to the bottom and started rippin' it around the top he made better laps. That motor sounds off to me, just doesn't sound crisp. but who the hell am i to say Probably just me. The feature was bottom feeders for the most part. Hard to move up. Top looked like it worked for him when he could keep up his speed. Long way around. 5th isAwesome!!! Really great job Mike. I can hear it in his voice. Typical racer, hate to lose. Don't get down Mike....You are one hell of a wheel man.

If Mike finished 3rd in the first heat and there are 4 heats, he should start 9 th. Why is he starting 15 th then? I understand the redraw for the top 12 cars in the series, but this is crazy.
@JohnDoe-dp5vo4 жыл бұрын
It's handicapping, I believe based on your last 3 finishes at the track during weekly point races. Most tracks do that during regular point shows. The drivers with poorer finishes start farther up, the better finishers start farther back, if they finished their Heat in qualified handicap position. Cars that finish their Heats behind the handicap qualified cars start even further back. It gives less fortune drivers a better chance of finishing better. A way to "spread the wealth", and possibly preventing the same driver from winning every race. It's a common process in racing. What you are thinking of would be termed "a heads up start" that is generally used in special non-recurring events.
@michaelolenick40784 жыл бұрын
@@JohnDoe-dp5vo must be a northern thing. I know as far north as Latrobe Speedway, they starr straight up. Some tracks like roaring knob speedway in on the Wv /penn. Border has the winner next week start 7 place in the next feature they run. I-79 speedway used to have the point leader in all classes start in 12 place all year following the first weeks racing. I-79 was right below where the Rocket Chassis is built.
@Dream25_4 жыл бұрын
What exactly does handicap mean in the context of the races up north? Is it a redraw or something else? Does it have anything to do with Friesen starting 12th-16th in every single race I see him run?
@dirttrackuntold4 жыл бұрын
Correct. Depending on the track handicapping is based on the drives last three races. So if your last three races were horrible, you’d start in the front. If they were better than everyone else, you start in the back

Why are the tracks up north always rough and dry
@JohnDoe-dp5vo4 жыл бұрын
That track usually isn't that rough, they may have put a little extra water on it, that makes it rougher. Generally, it is usually a bit dryer & slicker. Many drivers prefer a dry/slick surface. It's easier on equipment (and tailbone). Also, running the outside and hitting the "cushion" tends to upset the car a bit and give a rougher ride.
