oh god. how easily could this be re-skinned for WWII era Delta Green with just a few name changes?! great.

My thought exactly! You could play this as a prequel to a Delta Green campaign. Keep in mind that the US has been fighting at least the Deep Ones since 1928. By way of example, I went to HPL's _Herbert West -- Reanimator_ and worked out the internal timeline from references and could show that HW could have met with _Mina Wolff_ immediately following the Great War and quite likely he disclosed his reanimation technology to her.

How do I start this game. Do I need the keepers and investigators book? Which models do I need for the begining?

I put these on my amazon wishlist for purchase at some point, you've already convinced me this line is worth investing in. I do wonder however how it works with Weird Wars 2 and/or Realms of Cthulhu if you are a collector like me and have both books.
