I just realized that the “I didn’t live through the horrors of war only to lose Nina” ends on a lower note at the end. I thought it ended on a higher pitch so the inflection was like “only to lose niNA!” like he’s about to yell something heroic or angry. Hell even with how quiet he is it would at least annoyed and emphasized. Instead that inflection just sounds like a basic statement of a fact. wtf was anyone thinking???
