Very well explained. I've played this one before but needed a refresher, and this hit the mark perfectly. Two things I didn't see covered, but I'm sure they are minor. Firstly, no mention of what coins in your company are worth at the end of the game during scoring; it's worth mentioning even if they are not worth anything, so the question doesn't arise during a game (and it will). Secondly, it wasn't clear that the plantation that might get removed from the board goes back into your supply or not, since you didn't indicate anything other than it being "removed". Thanks once again for this very thorough how to play!

Thanks for this video, I bought the game yesterday and there's something I don't understand. When adding a plantation to the 3rd row you also take 1 available animal counter and advanced 1 step on the corresponding arabica track. In the rulebook it says on the counter track after placing the counter, immediately advance 1 step on the corresponding track. How many times should I advanced on the tracks after taking a counter from a cooperative??

When you take the counter, place it on the Counter track, and then advance 1 step on the corresponding *arabica track*. Note that the Counter Track is on the right of your player board, and the Arabica track is in top-right of the game board. Hope this helps. :)

Another thing in the send workers to harvest action. If i have 2 level "1" plantations do I send a worker on both plantation or only 1?

Only 1. With the Harvest action each player will get only 1 worker on 1 plantation. To place more workers, you need to take the Harvest action again.

Thank you for such a thorough and well-explained tutorial. I have a doubt: at 27:10 you say that players who piggyback must choose the same cooperative as the acting player but that they may choose a different building. This seems to contradict the rule you stated earlier on about players who build by piggybacking having to build the same type of building as the acting player. I am a bit confused about that.

OK, those are two separate cases. But in general, piggybacking players may only build in the same "area". First - when the active player builds a warehouse. He builds it on his player board, so all other players may only build on their player boards, and the only thing they can build is a warehouse. Second - when the active player builds anything else than warehouse. He builds it in a Coop, so all other players may build in the "same area" (in the same Coop), but they can build any building in that Coop.

Thank you for your teaching. I really appreciate this video. I'm still quite confused with the Counter track - basically you need to collect as many of these to stack up the track? From what I understand you only get 1 token per contract you complete and 1 token per plantation you build in the third row? It seems quite difficult to obtain them and go up the track, especially if 2 of the same color only counts as 1 step.

I have a question regarding the types of counters that can be combined and moved to the next available empty space on the counter track. In the rule book, it says that any combination of counters with the same colour can be used. This would mean that 2 green arabica counters could be moved to the next available space, so long as the previous stretch of counter track continues to be covered by counters. This is different to what you said in the video, when you said that two different types of counters of the same colour must be used to cover the next empty space. Can I check what should be the right approach?

The rulebook says that the same counter must be stacked in one place. So it contradicts itself, unfortunately not only in this case. :( Anyway, as per the latest clarification from the designers it can be two counters of the same color, regardless of the type.
