First of anime name: Deadman wonderland. It's one of the first anime I have ever watched, and it is really good. Definitely would recommend giving it a try. Second, for all the dumb asses commenting "squid game anime" and the likes. I hope you are troling, but in case you're just misinformed, the death game genre has been a somewhat popular genre way longe than squid game has been around. Yes, squid game is a death game, but it's far from the first. Not to mention, death games are primarily popular in anime. So to say "oh its a squid game anime," is really dumb. It's like saying, "Oh, Squid game is a live action Mirai Nikki." Which is honestly not that much better, even though it would be closer to the truth. (Alice in borderlands actually probably comes the closest to squid games, though)

@notoriousyolkhound4600 and you clearly haven't watched this anime. Or heard of the death game genre that has existed since long before squid game. This anime is nothing like squid game apart from the fact that it is a death game anime. But just go and look up some death game anime and you will quickly find out that the genre is very diverse and most of the anime on that list are older than squid game, because guess wad squid game is inspired by death game anime.

I hope they are trolling. But these days you genuinely can't tell anymore. You don't even need to know this specific anime to know that the death game genre has ben around long before squid game and has always been quite popular in anime.

That being said, the death game genre is so much bigger, and in the end, Deadman Wonderland is nothing like squid game.

@tonytony_chopper110 If anything, the squid game is a ripoff of Deadman wonderland (the anime in the short). Deadman wonderland is not only older, it's also better than squid game, and the anime death game genre is literally what inspired squid games. The creator even outright said that. So... "Mirai Nikki? Nah, we got squid game."
