Thank you for this game, Lion. That was the most satisfying game I've ever seen. The wall bs being beaten by a very complex Natives build was magnificent. I remember playing this game back in 2009 when I was a young kid. We couldn’t even right-click with the Mac mouse. Throughout the years, it has been back and forth with AoE III, from Morgan Black, the unkillable fountain of Youth to the Natives, the Asian civs, the ESOC tournaments, H20, KaiserKleinn, Blackstar, LordRaphael, etc. I started watching your vids one year ago when I broke up with my girlfriend and discovered the DE stuff, revolts, and the new civs. I learned the new mechanics, started practicing group controls, hotkeys, etc., and I reached 1500 elo. Tomorrow, I'm making a fresh start in a new country and will stop playing AoE III for a while. Thanks for everything. See you in a couple of years

Bourbon French soldier uniforms of that around-napoleon period were white, and their flag was mostly white too (with golden lilies) The French flag used in AOE3 is actually anachronistic, as it's based on the coat of arms of De Valois dynasty, which wasn't in power for over a century at that point (it ended in 1589) To be fair their colors are very familiar to you, since de Valois are The Guys you were fighting during the Hundred Years War, but yeah, the correct one would be either white with golden lilies, or the revolutionary tricolour one (especially since France's basic leader is napoleon).

Bless the glorious Canada game! Shame he couldn"t get Advanced Arsenal or Senegalese Riflemen, but that would have slowed him down too much probably. I hope to once get a Canada game wherein I can get away with Royal French Qrmy so that Fencibles get promotions. Also, good on Revnak to switch to cav eventually, but why would you opt for Dragoons to take out artillery and a huge skirmisher mass? That feels like a mistake. Especially when your civ *has one of the best Hussars in the game*

The highest militery unit count possible in the game would probably be a brazil revolt with 99 vills+natives. Each vill turns into to revolutionaries so you can get 300 pop without counting natives.

Hmm, in this map, there is a possibility to go cuirs too, because you have the cav cards. Imagine using 120 military pop for 40 cuirs, plus the 18 wingbois and 7 shock troopers. 65 area damage cav, sustainably, not once in game burst. Run them in the enemy ranks and turn trample mode to eleven on the ones in the thick. And then come the clubs and the skirms and the lipkas and the mantlets.

Definitely the right play to go for all the Trading Posts you can before doing any of the late game (30 min+) revolts. A Trading Post on a trade route on xp > villager with the infinite ♾ shipments. Plus, revolt shipments tend to be very synergistic with each other. ============= Most revolts will eventually be better than Imperial, as Imperial will eventually run out of cards 🎴 and most players do not put infinite cards for the Imperial Age in their deck anyway. So they will have all their xp generation be worthless. Though it takes a significant amount of time for Imperial to run out of cards.

Most revolts cannot keep up with imperial in terms of upgrades. All units get 50% better and all eco is 50% more efficient. Very few revolts can keep up for a while, but they lack either good gatherers or imperial units... Canada is special and played at its strengths here, very strong natives and all upgrade cards available make for stronger than imperial units (said cards are not available in the revolt deck, so you have to plan ahead)
