@@MonaroMel1 just saw the video you recommended. It's really great. What caught me off guard was how deceptively complicated the piano part is in the original score. The pianist looks like they need huge hands to play "Light of the Seven" accurately. It looks like it's a physically exhausting piece of music.
@MonaroMel15 күн бұрын
@chaost4544 Yeah it's incredibly challenging. In the original score there's an orchestra and a couple of ladies playing/singing a lot of the accompaniments so the piano solo is very easy. In NDG"s cover we have to play all of the orchestral parts on the keyboard, which is probably the toughest piece I've played to date (after the first 5 minutes) Edited to add, huge hands would help but Its doable with smaller hands. It's a finger workout for sure🥵 Ramin Djawadi is a genius. The whole GOT score playlist is iconic. Other than the original theme "Light of the seven" and "The Night King" are the only two pieces that start with piano solo in the whole show. It just let's the viewer know "something up here" Brilliant 🫠
@MonaroMel15 күн бұрын
@chaost4544 Sorry I meant to add to my reply, if you do play the piano, Nicolas (NDG) leaves a link under his arrangements and gives away the free sheet music. I've not found another artist on KZbin that does that. He's done numerous GOT covers, Chaos is a Ladder, Mhysa, Winds of Winter, The Night King and many more. He's incredible and generous with the free music!

You are exactly correct, Cersei's actions lead to Tommen's death, and you could argue all of her children's deaths. She raised Joffrey to be total assassination material, and her accusing Tyrion led to his trial by combat, which led to Oberyn’s death, which led to the Sandsnakes antagonizing Myrcella. What the witch told her ended up being something of a self-fulfilling prophecy: Cersei’s paranoia led to her taking actions that ultimately doomed her children. Of course, her pride and narrow-mindedness played a part too. It is quite infuriating to see her always trying to shift the blame on others, and justify her own actions. She keeps getting credited for her love for her children by many characters in the show, but I think it never really was the purest kind of love. She seems kind of a text-book narcissistic mother who loves her children as an extension of herself. Tommen would have been happy with Margaery, but Cersei wouldn't have her "beat" her. When she started the fight with Margaery, she already chose her own happiness over Tommen's. And when Tommen went against Cersei, she was done with him. I did feel sympathy towards Cersei in her walk of atonement, but I never lost sight of who she was. The sparrows were annoying, but Cersei was the one who armed them to begin with. I would have loved to see Margaery defeat the sparrows, but the way it all went down leaves me bitter, because Cersei faces no consequences to her actions.

@darure6 күн бұрын
@@Rash23215 I very much identify as a feminist. Why tracking the blame back to Cersei is relevant here is because I'm bringing attention to her hypocrisy, her need to always pin the blame on someone else and get back at them. Tywin's all "lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of sheep", he does bad shit and very much takes the credit. I've never said he's a better person than Cersei, and in conversations where it's actually relevant, I've argued many times that it's ridiculous some people in the fandom despise Cersei and worship Tywin in same breath.
