Thanks for the Vikings hair tutorial. I worked as an extra on Vikings season 5 but didn't get plaits. My hair was made to look really crap and greasy and they did it brilliantly. I have wanted to be able to plait my hair in different ways and now that I can watch you video tutorials all I need to do now is find the time to practice . Working on Vikings was one of the best experiences of my life. We were so well looked after.

Great tutorial! After having short/medium hair for many years I've been saving mine and growing it out for the past two years now, it's still not long enough to do this but I'm saving it to try when my hair gets longer :D Just wish my hair was a bit thicker, it would probably look a lot better then, but I'm gonna try anyway!

This is sooooOOO helpful for a future cosplay! but I have a question, do you only bleach your hair and put silver shampoo on to make it white? you don't use any box dye to tone it? and have you ever had green tones in your hair, and do you know how to get it out? sorry for alot of questions. x

I use De Lorenzo's colour care shampoo. There's a whole range (18 colours), i use the warm gold one which is a dark bronze shampoo. It neutralises green tones quite well. It will add some more gold tones to your hair however so I just alternate between that one and a purple shampoo to keep it balanced. I'm sure there are other brands but this is the one that I know and use. It's not very nourishing but if you're just looking to get rid of green it works pretty well. Hope this helps :)

How to you keep your hair so thick? I naturally have thick hair but long ago when I messed up when I did my roots and the bleach got on the "old" hair a lot of my hair on the top broke, so did all the hair at my hairline. No it is so thin, some parts just keeps breaking.

She probably had very light hair to begin with. I've done that to my hair before and it takes a lot of processing, but I have a darker brown hair color and it started breaking off and then splitting. This color blonde looks great on people who already have blonde hair or dirty blonde or light ash brown.

Once my hair was nearly as blonde/white as her's too. If I remember it correctly I had to get them bleached 3 times though the hair closer to the roots was still darker. Originally I always wanted to have snow white/greyish hair but it never worked out because my hair structure just isn't right for that :/ Also: my original haircolour is dark brown that nearly looks black. Currently I have black hair with ashblonde tips and this really makes me miss my blonde hair 😂

It is also possible for her to actually have platinum blonde naturally. Though.. the darker roots suggest otherwise. With my dark blonde hair.. it took 3 different bleachings to get to it. Spaced out every 2 weeks or so.

You can straighten it with a flat iron, blow dry your curls out or get it chemically treated. My hair is wavy with some curls that pop up at the front and back (I call it wavy/curly), but my friend has really curly hair and she gets it treated at the salon and it's straight now.

It is bad for your hair. I only blow out my hair in the winter because I can't stand it wet. I wash it once a week in the winter and then I start braiding it about 3 days in because it will get oily. Then about the 5th or 6th day I use a almond oil, rosemary essential oil, sage oil, and apricot kernel oil mix on my hair over night and repeat this once a week. I also make my own shampoo, so it's doesn't have all those plastics and silicones. Good luck with your hair. Curly/wavy hair looks great in the summer, but mine starts getting frizzy and poofy in the winter.
