I think GoT knows we are loving these styles, and thanks to ladies like you to figure them out the best way you can, so we have an excuse to play with our hair.

Thank you! Wasn't intentional, but isnt it so cool when you find styles that are especially flattering to your own hair? I wore them all day and felt really pretty! Thank you for noticing. :)

I feel your pain! Sometimes curling your hair before hand helps, since your hair is already in a rounded shape before braiding. My favorite though is definitely hair wax of pomade. Hope that helps a little!

Oh don't feel that way girl! You weren't the only one who was confused. I don't think I've ever explained it properly, and for this video I felt it was totally necessary!

Thanks so much for making this! All the other tutorials I've tried have used a sort of lace rope braid for the beginning and I could never get it to work for me. I can finally wear this style now ^_^

YAY!! Thats the coolest compliment I could ever receive! I'm absolutely thrilled that my explanation helped you find your way to that inner Khaleesi!!
@aedegroot945 жыл бұрын
Same issue here! Never occurred to me that I didn't have to rope braid the first bit and that it would look almost the same (or at least achieve the same effect). Trying to rope braid the start always made it so hard to stay 'high' and it would reach my ear instead of a nice distance above it. Gonna try this one out tonight, hope it's as succesful for me as it was for you!

Aww! You betcha! And I was super happy when I saw this because its actually a style I'm pretty familiar with! I've worn it many times before!

Whoa. If you put wire in the twists, you could shape them into a dragon horn shape and be like a dragon person thing for halloween.. Man, I wish I had longer hair.

I just checked out the video, but it led me to a video where she wears her hair down with a headband. Is this what you were trying to request? I feel like maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing!

Guilty in a good kind of way then :) Very good explanation though!! And it makes sense to do the first part like a twist, and the second with a braid, or else your fingers would get tangled I think.

This looks fantastic! I'm so excited for Season 4 and Daenerys is my favorite character. Every time I attempt a rope braid, I find that my layered hair never wanted to twist properly, before I wrap the strands around each other. The layers always stick and/or fall out. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?
@ladollyvita33311 жыл бұрын
I actually just did! Except that I wrote it out and posted it to my blog. I believe there's a link to my blog on my channel page if you'd like to check it out!

Haha, I feel slightly guilty for the rope twist vs braid, but it's very nice to see the difference and hear why you prefer one over the other for certain styles! I looooove this look, I will definitely use this when I want something special but not too complicated :D
@ladollyvita33311 жыл бұрын
Thats awesome! And fitting! I wonder if the hair stylists on the show did this on purpose??

With the way i had my bangs grown out the braids didn't stay sadly, Id say let your bangs grow out if you want to wear this. :(

I wanted to make this hairstyle on my cousins wedding. But I tried and I can't do this. I need second pair of hands to do this, because when I'm trying to make a braid, I can't hold all these hair and twisted strand is untwisting and everything is going wrong :( And I still don't know how to make the top (I'm not good at french braids, and this one is very similar- mine is way too loose). Have you got any tips?

You'll definitely get some pretty texture form braid waves, but when I look at the pictures I see more of a curl. Nevertheless, I think either look could be really pretty!
