AngryPrawn after I finished the season, I couldn't stop thinking about this song. It was haunting me. I hadn't played piano in 5 years and couldn't remember how (I played for 7 years until high school). I retaught myself how to play piano just to learn this song.

There is a version that uses C to C instead of C to D# and so on but it's not half as elaborate or beautiful. I even found a simplified version that is only one page

You don't need to reach from the C to D#. You can pivot with finger 2 on the G that is in between, and with pedal pressed the effect is pretty much the same. I've just tried it and sounds great, and I am just an amateur pianist!

Amazing dude... The change and the variation in the original theme is almost perfectly captured... The original theme used a lot of instruments with the church piano at heart of it... I personally have tried to practice this and I can tell you it’s hard. The timing and the jumps in the left hand... any number of things in this piece make it hard. Unless you go from grade 1 royal conservatory to grade 8 in like, 6 months, then learning this piece is gonna be tough.
