Some people dislike Margaery but I've always admired her for her naked ambition that was tempered by her genuine desire to help the little people. She clearly loved her family as well, and it's just, this is like the Middle Ages where women don't have rights and here she walks in. She didn't deserve to die like that.

Some people deslike her, because how we never see her true intentions. Margaery adapts for her opponents in a way we never fully understand when she is real or not. Unlike Cersei that manipulates, but she never fools us. Despite a few manipulations, most of her actions are clear. In reality, Margaery is more dangerous then Cersei. The one thing that distinguish them, is Margaery is not cruel and doesnt tend to kill anyone. This is not a act that weak her, on the contrary. Killing in Game of Thrones world, is just a easy way out. Now, breaking your enemies, making allies and keep them satisfied is another game, that few could play. I love Margarey and Tyrells, because they play the game, sometimes they play both sides to keep themselves alive, in case one side fall (Mace not taking Storms end, may have been a militar tactic, instead of been foolish). I feel sorry for Margaery death, i honestly wanted her to marry Jon and be the Queen. There was so much potential if she was alive. But looking back, the only way Margaery would go down, was be surrounded by idiots, that think can play the game. In the end, the rose end up been corner in a small vase.

This video is so beautiful and sad. Margaery was at the same time ambitious, very smart, manipulative, cunning, sharp-tongued, funny, with a sense of humor, but kind, compassionate, empathetic, loving her family. She really cared about other people. About the poor, about Sansa. Yes, she pursued her goals by taking care of them, but she really felt sorry for them, she did not wish them harm, helped, supported. One of the best queens. She is much better than Cersei in everything.

Margaery was one of my absolute favorite characters on GoT, she really didn't deserve dying like that (although, from what I gathered in an article I read around the time, Natalie did in fact ask the writers to not merely write her out but give Margaery a grand death scene). ... Natalie asked to have Margaery killed by the end of the season because she was filming Hunger Games. I am not sure if she dies in the book though, I read that she is still alive in the book, I am not sure which way George will go. Hopefully she survives in the book and gets a better ending, same with Olenna. I would love for Margaery to at least go back to highgarden and accept the fact that she will be the queen there and rule her people and do the best for highgarden and be an ally to the crown. But Idk.. we will see when the book comes out.
