Yeah I was very disappointed that the show didn't seem to have a twist at all. Why would Arya be that dumb? Bad writing! So mad at that. At least she's leaving Bravos now and the waif is dead. I'm surprised Jaquen would just let her go. My bf and I now think that the whole "no one" BS might just be BS as Jaquen told her "now a girl is no one" even though Arya rejects that, maybe that's what she had to do to be a part of their club, kill another faceless man. I still think they think she's special and have a purpose for her though or else they wouldn't let her be part of them as she can't give up her identity.

I have to agree, things are getting very Hollywood-ed. It was tough to accept Ramsey Bolton openly murdering his father (honestly, that was silly...Roose's army is just going to take that? Seriously?) and other terrible mis-steps, but this one was over the top. I don't want to give spoilers here, but there's just no frickin' way what happened in the next episode is plausible. Some things that bother me about the Jon and Sansa arc; neither of them mentions their liege lord (or King) Rickon still lives and is Ramsey's prisoner. I think that's important and would be quite persuasive. If you're Eddards son, why not appear with Ghost, a giant white dire wolf, everywhere you go? Symbolism goes a long way. Why not bring Ramsey's letter and read it to the people you want to go against him? No mention of the mountain clans from the books which would've certainly joined because of their fierce loyalty to House Stark. I could go on.

I heard the Jaqen/Waif/Arya theory a lot in other different videos, and truthfully, Jaqen taking Arya's place on the bridge to test the Waif seemed way cooler than how the writers proposed it. Arya did look different, and she acted differently. It's just off. Their version was boring, and kind of impossible, because the Waif stabled Arya multiple times in the abdomen, even turning the blade within flesh, which would have caused the perforation of many essential to survival organs. I'm not even talking about internal bleeding. So just patching up the wounds and giving her milk of the poppy wouldn't have sufficed to save her. And not even a few hours later, she was running around town, and fighting with her blade. Bullshit.

Yep. Also, Bear Island is just off the coast of The Land of Always Winter, which is where the White Walkers live in ordinary times. Remember that Jorah and his men were poaching wildlings and selling them for cash to slavers. So we know Bear Islanders were ranging north of the wall and have seen things -- if not WW, then perhaps giants, mammoths, and all kinds of unbelievable things. I'm not surprised that Bear Islanders know that white walkers are real. They probably never stopped believing.

I think this is more an issue of bad acting. (Sorry Kit.) He plays Snow so monotone and flat that it is hard to see what exactly is goings on with his character's internal voice. Kit Harrington is the kind of actor that would really benefit from Morgan Freeman's voiceover! "And all the while, Jon knew he was different. Something had changed when he was reborn. He is not the same Jon now that was betrayed by his brethren that night at Castle Black."

lafrankie Seriously? I think he portrais him pretty well. I think you can see him develop from the naive character in season one to an idealist to a cynic now. I like that he doesn't "overact" it. It's harder to display emotions of a "normal" character than a character with special traits (like a madman or a choleric) because it's not that obvious. I hate this Morgan Freeman type voiceover/explanation for dummies. It's like a special subtitle for Amercian audiance who lost the ability to see small details long ago thanks to Hollywood. Take The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo for example. The 2009 adaptation was great, the 2011 adaptation completely overacted aka "americanized".

Regarding Arya, I can't quite believe that that's Jaquen who took the hit for her, because if so then why the look of terror as she's walking down the street holding her guts in? The theory I like best so far is that Lady Crane is *also* a Faceless Man, and setting her up as a target was meant as a test of Arya's compassion - to see if she would show mercy. Based on the FM origin story, I don't think they really want to be just assassins for hire, and are actually looking for people who can judge whether a killing is "right" or not - and the Waif, being a cold-hearted sadistic killer, will fail their test. Lady Crane then takes Arya with her to Westeros and hones her acting skills, and gives her a new target. Maybe even someone on her list.

1) Jaqen isnt a person, its a face any faceless man can take and there is no real 'Jaqen' personality. They are also masters of facial expressions and can contort and move any muscle on their face as mentioned during Aryas training in the books. So that can explain the look of terror. 2) NO NO NO NO NO. FM arent meant to have compassion or hate or any feelings whatsoever they are completely neutral and are servants of the many faced god(death). Someone sacrifces to them/the god and they answer their prayers, they dont care who or what they kill as long as the price was payed. The Waif is certainly not a real faceless man and in the books she is more a caretaker who was granted longevity by drinking poisons she is not actually a FM and she isnt in the show either, faceless men dont show emotions or enjoy the killing although in the books the waif isnt sadistic or mean at all infact its the Kindly Man who is Jaqen in the show that hits her. 3) Na Lady Crane is no more than an actress who attempts to aid Arya. THE FACELESS MEN WILL NEVER GIVE YOU A TARGET YOU KNOW therefor she cannot recieve a target on her list. This is shown during the faceless man meeting in the books when a name is mentioned and they go around the table until someone says "I will give this man the gift, i know him not".

+Chloe Price - Because he doesn't seem to be heading to KL anytime soon. That doesn't dismiss CleganeBowl ever from happening, but not this season most likely. Sandor is heading to wherever the Brotherhood is. In a sense, I guess it works well for the show. So many people are hyped about Sandor's return that they believe he'll go to KL to be the Faith's champion and fight against ZombieMountain. They won't see the twist coming; either trial by combat is denied or someone like Tommen is going to be the champion for the Faith. (I don't think the latter will happen, but someone from another video did a good job of showing why it could happen)

I object to the Jaqen = Arya theory. They can't wear the faces of living people, the show made this pretty damn obvious. They need to harvest the faces they wear from dead bodies before they can use them (I mean we SAW Jaqen do this just one episode ago). When Arya saw her own face, she was hallucinating, one of the effects of whatever caused her to go blind. It was just messing with her eyesight at first, and sort of climaxed when she saw her own face, followed by complete blindness. And why the fuck would Jaqen order the Waif to kill Arya only to sacrifice his own life for her? I mean, Arya failed and clearly betrayed them twice, why is she worth sacrificing two skilled faceless men? When Jaqen said "There won't be a third chance", he meant it.

That's the opposite of what should be happening. Look at the last two seasons. Basically NOTHING has gotten done for the main characters. It's almost entirely been filler episodes, but that doesn't make sense because there are limited episodes left and too much story to fit into them.

Meanderthal17 that's what I mean. the charectors I listed are actually the main driving forces behind most of the plot, by removing them (or showing them much less) the plot suffers. every POV character is influenced by at least one of these characters so by limiting their importance, the plot stagnates a bit.

There was no point for him to go to Dorne other than to see his daughter die, and later reunite with Cersei so they can share their grief. So really the situation he's at right now (still infatuated with Cersei and almost being her lap dog) comes from the Dorne fiasco from last season.

My only issue with Arya being Jaqen is why the elaborate and over the top realization after getting stabbed that she could get stabbed by anyone? She walks through the street all of a sudden realizing that the faceless men could be anyone and she needs to keep her guard up. It just doesn't make sense to me that it's Jaqen, unless it's some convoluted plot by him to out the Waif.

If it really is Arya then it makes 0 sense for her character to completely forget everything she's learned these past two seasons, and if it's Jaqen in disguise, then why go through such a big ruse and even continue to play up the act after getting stabbed and faking reactions while walking down the street? I think someone suggested that maybe Arya's teacher from season 1 might be a faceless man and might be wearing Arya's face. Still though, I hope the outcome is better than anticipated.

i have to say. these guys at alt shift x called it. they called the " hodor " scene completely. it's in a review of episode 3 of this season. these are some of the best reviews out there. alt shift x & colider are the only 2 that actually give you information about the series, that knows what they're talking about. also trust is a big deal with me. i trust that actual fans of the show are reviewing the series. as opposed to someone doing it for click-bait. which accounts for 90% of review channels.

Jaqen is Syrio which means he is the guy that Ned hired to train Arya. She met Jaqen right after Ned's execution so maybe he felt for her and decided to go all in for Arya. This would explain why he dies for her. Maybe the whole point is not to make her faceless man but to train her just like Ned wanted. Just a theory tho.
