The music, view, and the characters in this scene make this such a powerful and mystical scene. Varys and Melisandre are probably the most interesting characters in this series, with pretty different philosophies, so watching them talk is like seeing two worlds colliding.

Lucy Herrick he was a weak minded man with boyish dreams of kingdom, even if that meant killing his own brother with blood magic. Once I saw his true character at the beginning of the show I never liked or trusted him. Being a king means doing what’s right for the people not yourself. Hell being a good leader and a good man means the same thing. That’s why Jon was always my favorite character. Plus Ned. They never asked for leadership or power, they only ever tried their best to do what’s right. Honestly I know it sucks for Jon but the life he lived was the best one for him. There was no better man who could’ve raised him as Ned did him and all his children. This way when he finds out his true lineage it will shock him yes but if he does sit on the iron throne he will do it because it’s the right thing to do not because he yearns for it and believes he has a right to it. Honestly that’s why I’m worried about Daenerys. She has a good heart but a quick temper and a blackness in her heart that she’s shown time and again. She’s greedy for the iron throne just like Cerci is just in a nobler way. I’m honestly worried that once she finds out about Jon being the rightful heir that she’ll be angry with him.

@Akantha R I don't believe Varys has to send spies anywhere, his network is vast enough that he has eyes everywhere. That might be the case in Essos, but considering this is happening in Westeros I don't think he'd need to give direct orders. And Stannis is a person of interest, he's one of the five rebelling kings, so I doubt Varys would let him go unwatched.

It would be fascinating if Melisandre accompanied the Golden Company to an audience with Cersei on a secret mission for the Red Temple in Volantis, and influences Cersei to bring the Lord of Light to King's Landing in exchange for giving her visions and prophecies. The whole time, Melisandre would be a mole and once Cersei realises this is the same Red Witch who was Stannis' counsel, it would be too late and Melisandre would have control of the city, securing it for Jon and Dany.

she has failed many times guessing who is the prince that was promised. she is sure it is jon snow just because she brought him back to life. so basically just because of something mystical that happened because and around of her she believes its jon snow. no one can really count on what she is saying. i was just watching season 2 episode 1 and one thing that ive realized was that 3 characters of the show were shown just seconds after showing on screen the comet that is considered to be a "star bleeding". one was daenerys, one jon and one was bran. "the cold breath of darkness" is basically the icy dragon. i believe the burning sword could be a metaphor. there are rumors anyway that daenerys will die giving birth and the dragons will pbly then follow jon snow. the remaining dragons could then be the "red burning sword" especially drogon. my guess is that bran will warg into the second dragon.

Yes, whilst, by fits and starts, her character evolved in order to die a righteous and consensually sacrificial end, somehow his slowly but surely simply shrank, reduced into fear and treachery ...Subbed.

So if she can see how people die how did she not see what was going to happen to Stannis? Or Jon Snow? Or Danaraeys?

I think Varys will meet his end in the final season. He will die to proof his loyalty to the Realms and Daenerys Targaryen. But i wonder what would happen when he finds out that Jon Snow is Aegon Targaryen.

Does anyone else see Varys as perfect to be the next Lex Luthor or Kingpin in upcoming superhero movies?

It's absolutely ludicrous how Varys wouldn't be privy to what happened with Shireen. They really did their best to destroy his character.
@ianvera42994 ай бұрын
He did, but how could he know what Jon and Mel talked about? Varys's character was NOT destroyed.
@Avalars4 ай бұрын
@@ianvera4299 Lol he was utterly clueless discussing treason with Tyrion and Jon out in the open. Even Conleth Hill was clearly disgusted by how Varys was treated. Cope harder. And yes he would know as his birds are everywhere, or they were until D&D ran out of books. Even Davos says in the show Varys knows what you had for breakfast.

@@Avalars Lol no he was not. And Olenna said her grandson was a sword swallower, learn to differentiate a joke from sincerity. And yet Conleth defends the show. Yes, they ran out of books which is not THEIR responsibility. Do you also equally criticize GRRM?

@@ianvera4299 @ianvera4299 It's not even a joke on Davos' part. Varys birds are everywhere and it's ludicrous to think he wouldn't know about tensions between the leading figures of the north. Conleth didn't defend it, maybe look at him throwing the script at the table read lol. You haven't read the books and so don't appreciate how important Varys is so opinion discarded. It is their responsibility to not make characters lose 100 IQ points after the source material ended yes (which they blew through, ignoring huge chunks of the final two books). And they chose to remove Young Griff who is Varys real trump and stake in the story. Imagine defending this slop five years on lol
@ianvera42994 ай бұрын
@@Avalars Yet Varys is not ominous, was it ludicrous for him to be surprised about the red wedding? No, because his birds can only pick up enough throughout the realm. Oh yes he did, just look at his public comments AND his appearance on their new Netflix show lol. I have read the books, but you dont have the book or media literacy to comprehend them. You mean the final two books, TWOW or DOS? Oh wait, GRRM kinda forgot to write them 15 YEARS LATER since he sold out after D&D gave him a cinematic universe at HBO and kinda forgot to finish. Imagine defending a hack author 15 years later lmao At least D&D finished, cope harder child.

Say what you will about her but she was one of the last few characters, along with Varys, who were interesting to watch right up to their demises. Her death scene is still one of the only good scenes in the final season.

And she dies after lighting arakhs on fire, lighting a trench on fire and whispering in Arya's ear. Varys dies after conspiring against Daenerys and trying to poison her. Fuck D&D
@ilh83125 жыл бұрын
Okay crazy theory. Varys is behind everything. He knows that as a eunuch and foreigner, he will never be accepted by the nobility of Westeros who place so much emphasis on bloodlines and heirs. So he plans an elaborate plot to destroy the entire system of houses and noble families in Westeros, hoping to set up a Parliament or Senate where he can rule as a commoner instead. That's what he hears from the flames when the sorcerer cuts off his genitals and feeds them to the fire. However, he didn't account for (a) How powerful Dany would turn out to be, so he improvised and joined her to manipulate her from the inside and (b) The coming of the Long Night and the White Walkers, which he is now helping to solve. In the end, I think he will either die confessing his plans or live to see a Parliament replace all the fallen houses, with him in charge.
