11 years. 5 books. 8 seasons. Thousand of hours of runtime. Thousands of actors and crew. Millions of dollars spent and millions of fans invested. An epic story of our generation. The cultural mark of the decade. No matter how it ended. Remember how it shined in its brightest moments, how it took world by storm, how it changed entertainment and hooked us and changed our lives. The legacy it leaves behind is as grand and ineffably epic as the show itself. It will live on, despite today apparent ending. A Song of Ice and Fire. A mellifluous song indeed.

@Shinobu Tsurubushi I will not stop to insult this ending, because this ending, no sry whole season 8 insulted Game of Thrones. Your biggest argument is that it has on sites like IMDb over 50% rating (last stand was I think 5.2). That's quite hideous for Game of Thrones and if you only get your results from pages like IMDb I recommend you maybe to talk with people outside, because honestly you r the first person who defends this ending.

Our histories. They tell us Aegon looked across the Blackwater from Dragonstone Saw a rich land ripe for the capture. But ambition alone is not what drove him to conquest. It was a dream. And just as Danny’s foresaw the end of Valyria, Aegon foresaw the end of the world of men. It’s to begin with a terrible winter gusting out of the distant north. Aegon saw absolute darkness riding on those winds. And whatever dwells within will destroy the world of the living. When this Great Winter comes, all of Westeros must stand against it. And if the world is to survive, a Targaryen must be seated on the Iron Throne. A king or queen, strong enough to unite the realm against the cold and the dark. Aegon called his dream ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ - Viserys I Targaryen to Rhaenyra, House of the Dragon
@kikiebld2 жыл бұрын
So, Aegon Conquest is the part to fulfill the prophecy he saw.. that is why he so ambitios to conquer Westeros because he is knew his house will play the main role to protect humanity and his descendants ( Daenaerys and Aegon VI aka Jon Snow) is The Fire and Ice from the prophecy to banish the darkness aka Army Of the Death..

Arya off to Braavos, Tyrion leaving King's Landing, Jon going beyond the Wall, Cersei facing the world alone without Tywin. They use a similar tempo mixed in with Daenery's and the Greyjoy's theme at the end of Season 6 when they set sail to Westeros. The composition of music is nothing short of exquisite.
