I'm sure the actor was quite happy to volunteer to get stabbed in the chin with a real dagger so it would look more realistic. He even left his mouth hanging open for a second longer so they could get a gooooood shot of the dagger in his mouth, so the viewers would know it wasnt faked. Dagger blades arent white.
