- When bidding for the iron throne, whoever bids highest doesn’t get the iron throne token until all 6 houses are placed on that track. - In the first Lannister/Tyrell battle, the Lannister player illegally used his special march order token ( he’s ranked 5th on the raven track; no ⭐️)

@135Aldebaran7 жыл бұрын
asdf asdfasdf Is Greyjoy easy-mode?
@asdfasdfasdf97247 жыл бұрын
Mostly yes. They are considered moderately overpowered and can handle Lannister or Stark with little effort. It usually takes huge blunders by Greyjoy or for both Lannister and Stark to team up to hold them back. Their cards are also very good. Good for beginners, but experienced players can effectively blitzkrieg newer players and win by round 2. In the end, you just realllllly need a Lannister who knows what he's doing since Lannister's position on the map makes them slightly underpowered.
@brianmayabella59926 жыл бұрын
they have the best house card, they have anti ship and anti house cards. its bane for stark and lannister. I still think lannister and stark is best early game houses
@ocima_ankapa5 жыл бұрын
If you think Greyjoy is overpowered then you failed to recognize the mechanics of the game. If Greyjoy started with all forces they have + also Stark forces in addition and thus have twice bigger army, benefits etc., it'd still not be overpowered. If you think Greyjoy is too strong, then you're simply playing wrong and need to play better. Everything is easy mode if your opponents are bad. Everything is equally hard mode if your opponent are equally good as you. There is no better house. There's just worse players.

@gortex83837 жыл бұрын
routed units have no combat strenght, so u can just take over the place without a battle
@mateuszmarciniak28287 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. True, they have no combat strength, but they still can receive support from other units from adjected areas. Also, I'm pretty sure that combat still takes place. Every time I've played GoT with my friends it was obvious that attacking routed units is still a combat. Furthermore, it's logically that when you attack routed units (in real life) combat takes place and you still can take casualties (in the game the same could happen thanks to some House cards and/or Tides of Battle cards). Not to mention some strategic options with House cards, f.e. preventing enemy from conquering your land with Arianne Martell, throwing him down from Influence Track with Doran, discarding his hand with Patchface or regaining your House cards with Roose Bolton. You could also use Cersei in battle with routed units to completly mess your opponent's plans up.

It's pretty clear in the rules "if the embattled area only contains routed unites they die without a combat"

I love this game so much and wish more people would make playthoughs similar to this one. I don't know if you noticed in editing but Martell broke supply at one point. Also, the Lannister player was no Tywin.
@boardwatch15607 жыл бұрын
Thomas King Yeah, Martell was a first timer for the game and I wasn't paying attention since I was sitting on the other side of the board. He was tough to edit for because he never really announced his moves, he just subtly did them so people on the other side of the board didn't know what he was up to

I've been on holiday so missed this, annoyingly! Brian I'm late so you might not see this but if you do please take a look! There's a video game called Crusader Kings 2 which I'm fairly certain you'd fall in love with. All about medieval conquest through marriage ties and politics etc. There's a GoT mod for it which is just incredible, and seriously worth having at least a look at. The game itself plays much more like a board game than a "traditional" video game.

During the bidding on the influence tracks you guys did a mistake. If the player that has the Iron Throne loses the throne in the bidding. He still get his last act as a king by choosing how the ties biddings ends. Fex if two People have bided 3 tokens he then get to chose the winner. And the same for all the other Places. And when the bidding on the NeXT influence track it is then the rain of the New king of the iron throne starts.

This is amazing. The only problems is people talking over each other. When you are playing it is fine. When you are doing material for youtube, it is not.
@shapeshifter76766 жыл бұрын
You guys should consider the adjacent areas and if anyone can attack you before you waste a round on defending from nothing. Also there's no point in placing defense orders in ports, since ports can't be directly attacked. Also, you underestimate the value of Power Tokens and ships.
@TipyPeYoutube4 жыл бұрын
5:13 how could Greyjoy spawn 3 boats? 2 from the port, but where does the 3rd one come from? Because on land you didn't have a port, so you can't spawn them.
@boardwatch15604 жыл бұрын
"Ship units may only be placed in a port connected to the mustering area or in an adjacent sea area. Ship units cannot be mustered into sea areas that contain one or more enemy ships. If a Castle or Stronghold area has no port or eligible adjacent sea areas, no Ship units can be mustered there." It says port "OR" adjacent sea area. I believe this was even clarified by the developers.
@andrewharrispiano5 жыл бұрын
I can't see it too well but in your home territory stronghold ie. Lanisport or Pyke, you play with the territory token that gives you +2 defence. If you lose that area in combat it it removed.

I had a question and was wondering if you could help. In the advance strategy type in the rule book. It states that if you have 3 attack tokens with units all adjacent to each other than a unit is able to move more than once in a single turn. By turn Im assuming they mean round. I dont think they mean after using a march token you can move that unit from 1 location then another and to the third location. Can u advise?
@boardwatch15605 жыл бұрын
It is a funky wording, and I wish games would adapt a universal constant for the terms round and turn. As far as I understand, you still resolve the tokens in turn order as normal. If the first movement you used brings a unit to an area that also has a movement token, you will be able to move that unit again later, once turn order gets back to you and you use that second token.

@boardwatch15607 жыл бұрын
Nope... He was building up for a big attack in round 5. Since he had boats in both the East and West Summer Sea, he could have attacked High Garden from just about anywhere. He was probably also going to be attacking the Reach. He knew Jessica had already played her highest card, so he would have probably beat her in both battles. The Baratheon fight in Storms End would have been tough, but doable.

I'm sort of confused... who won?
@boardwatch15607 жыл бұрын
Greyjoy (black) won because they got 7 castles/strongholds. Pike, Flint's Finger, Moat Cailin, Seagard, Riverrrun, Lannisport, and Harrenhal. There are no units in Pike, Riverrun and Seagard, but Greyjoy controlled them initially and left a power token behind when he left, maintaining control (but with no defense). Didn't need to leave a power token in Pyke because it's his starting Stronghold.
