Thank you for the great explanation and effort. I still have trouble understand the pros of having IDE's in aws, such as notebooks, studio, cloud9 and so on. Why would I pay for computing, when I can simply use my favorite IDE's on my own computer? One argument is that IDE in the cloud gives full integration to AWS services, But on my own computer, I can log in via cli with sso, and use the sdks.

Super nice description of the differences. One feature that I enjoy in classic sagemaker is the ability to execute pipeline steps in local mode. This isn't possible in studio.

Hey. Well now this depends what pipelines you mean. And what you mean by local. :) I’m making a collection of all the different places where this industry uses the term ‘pipeline’ and it just seems to keep on growing. 😂

From a compliance perspective, how can I query in AWS Config if SageMaker Studio has a lifecycle policy or not? We added a lifecycle policy but a user could disable it. I'd like to scan for this. But in AWS Config, I can't even query Sagemaker Domains.

I get your points but you didn't mention why AWS is taking that approach? Why is let's say sagemaker pipelines visualization not available from the AWS management console and only in Studio? I am missing that whole why part in this video, maybe you can elaborate on that

Sure. There won’t be the GUI part of it, but it’s just a set of API calls. You can kinda do it from anywhere.
