Poetic Chess Journey

Poetic Chess Journey

Күн бұрын

Mikhail Tal was a Soviet-Latvian chess player and the eighth World Chess Champion. He is considered a creative genius and is widely regarded as one of the most influential players in chess history. Tal played in an attacking and daring combinatorial style. His play was known above all for improvisation and unpredictability.
Vladislav Zubok said of him, "Every game for him was as inimitable and invaluable as a poem".

I m a bit confused regarding the end game! Wy Kasparov couldnt use the last line pawn to convert it in a queen?!!!! The bishop couldn’t be moved as the king was pinned....😢

Why it draw White king can take blake pawn then move two step ahead Or if bidhop check move back nd move white pawn till block check of bishop and then promote to queen

Over the years checkers has reached a peak, with the top players drawing must games, because of limited combinations. Chess has approached the same dilemma with the openings. They're all played out. The middle games are almost at their peak, so we only have endgames to show some interest. That's why ai bots do so many sacrifices to manufacture new interesting strategies. I reckon in the next five years chess will reach a climax and just fizzle out too 😢

You mad? Chess is exponentially more complex than checkers. Especially in the middle game. Your opinion was expressed before in history, when many games were drawn. Then a new style came along and mixed things up. Nowadays, chess engines can enhance our creative vision and inspire us to thrive in asymmetrical, complex and beautiful positions.

Ridiculous. Chess is still the most complex board game. Some complex combinatorial games can be solved in future but chess can't be solved in at least next million years even by quantum computers.

8.08 why white pawn not attacked the bishop which was pinned it could simply take queen an finish things off

I also had the same questin....but black knight was also in position which could come to rescue at some point....but still after all the materials exchange, white had a great pawn on the left to go ahead and convert in a queen. I guess this is the Tal effect. The Ginnie livie....

Why didnt white just promote the pawn or take the bishop with the pawn when the bishop was pinned ?

Bishop and king alone cannot make checkmate so match drawn...

Because black had perpetual checks to draw the game if white had taken the bishop or promoted the pawn. The only reason white gave those checks was not to pin or capture, but to get the queen on the right square by winning tempo to force the queen trade and avoid perpetuals.

Nah this wasn't supposed to be a draw! Either could have won the game but white had a better chance to kill the game. No draw for me

Its a draw... Look at it with the engine.. If the white king moves to protect the pawn closest to promotion white loses the other 2 pawns and black can sacrifice the bishop when the queening pawn moves forward under whites king protection
