That's an epic build right there! I love your graphics choices RR!! I'm more of a purist myself, I need my arcade cab to have a multi-mode CRT arcade monitor to get as close as possible to the real thing.. BUT now I need one of these BEASTS in my game room too, to have a cab that plays modern games at full res. =D

I am looking forward to part 2 and 3. I have just got into the Retro Gaming Scene. I actually started with the 32" Full Upright Kit and completed a couple months ago. Then made a template and built another 32" and 40" full Upright and just finished the Bar Top Deluxe and stand. GRS has the best graphics.

@obsidian1710
@obsidian1710 5 жыл бұрын
That does look pretty sweet! The control spacing looks good for each player, and I like the " MK3 run button" for player 1&2, that some other 4 player setups ignore. I just think it could benefit from a bigger screen since it's a 4 player cabinet. Looks like the side players would feel a little awkward from that viewing angle. I think it kinda calls for a 42" screen to accommodate for the 2 extra players.

I notice that they offer more spots for player buttons. But you only have the minimum. What is your opinion on going for the maximum number of slots for buttons? I was looking at RRM, but this is a pretty nice cab too. I want four player and all the bells and whistles I can manage. GRS is more work but shouldn't be overwhelming.

LOL... Yeah it was pretty time-consuming. I did it over like a few days just to take breaks. I had to splice so many wires that I needed to walk away from it from time to time. It was a really fun project though. Now I need to edit the mother of all videos (the build). I have so much respect for ETA Prime for having the patience to do long and detailed instructional videos. Anyway... Thanks for watching and supporting the channel bud, I really appreciate it.

I was thinking the same regarding John’s Arcade today. If I tried to film, talk, AND work on a machine I’d never get anything done. It’s interesting the things you might otherwise not pay much attention to until you’re in a similar position and can appreciate the effort. You do a clean and stellar job presenting well edited videos, I really like what you have going on here.

Cool build. For me personally, only arcade games are meant to be played on an arcade cabinet, and those are all I care about. I'd rather play console games with a controller (even via emulation on PC). Also I don't think I'll ever get used to the new trend of putting 16:9 monitors in these cabinets. It just doesn't look right. Awesome job though, and this thing truly is amazing either way!
