But it is starting to irritate me how much it is enclosed, I wish he would just tell the story instead of hiding it from us for the Next ten years. As Scott said in the quote at the start, a new timeline was needed, one that was less dense and has room to grow. So if you think of those first four games and no other media as "the first timeline," a prototype if you will, the dream ending is canon to that. We're in a new, expanded timeline now.
