Yes, they began as cultists but were killed mostly by Alexios/Kassandra but him/her stopped being told that letting the cultist leader will actually led to the Cultists randomly attacking again and how She saw that in Egypt the Assassins will form, so they hid to egypt where the cult associated with egyptians to the point of the culture becoming Egyptian and renamed themselfs as Order of the Ancients, and plan to find another artifact there since the one in Greece was destroyed but like sayd, Bayak and his wife start the Assassin order in egypt and rome after themself being hybrids, were able to track the cultists after they revealed themselfs by killing Bayaks son, then the order spread, i didnt play or spoil Valhala yet so il say the Ancients spread and during the HOLY times, renamed themselfs Templars

Also the order of ancients was created in Egypt it didn’t go there after Alexios and Kassandra’s time. Finally the order was created to worship the isu as gods and when King Aelfred of England was made head of the order of ancients he actively tried to have it destroyed so he could make a Christian order. His idea of a Christian order eventually became the Templar knights, so the order of ancients didn’t rename themselves it was completely torn apart and replaced.

Like in most AC games you have a sword and dagger set, plus hidden blades. Which is DEFINETLY an advantage. If you manage to get a left hook in, might as well make it count. Plus if you need to off hand block, best not done with your wrist. Also your off hand blade could have notches and curves to catch your opponents blade. While this works best with a smaller secondary it also applies to short swords and hatchets/axes, but historically most people would go for an off hand shield (edit: if shields were in fashion that is)

Philipino Kali Stick Fighting is largely compromised of dual wielding 2 sticks in order to have constant attacks to different levels. The Heaven/Earth Six is the attacking of all levels of the body with use 2 weapons. You also go into 5-10 count striking with any 2 handled weapons. So dual wielding is VERY practical if you know what you're doing.

Imagine setting it in any part of the Mongol Empire, whether its the Golden Horde on the Russian front, the Ilkhanate with the Islamic world or even Mongol China proper on the conflicts between the Yuan and the remaining Song (though that might be a bit touchy, it could either make China angry or become a propaganda piece for China...) . With how massive the empire was, one could set several games in that area. Appeal/Sales-wise, however, would be quite niche... *sigh* Also, HRE, the Protestant Reformation, 30 years war, etc., all perfect for an Assassins vs Templar plot.

That also explains the downvotes. This video isnt as bad, but already has quite a few errors with reply videos incoming. Mat Pad is fun, but history REALLY isnt his thing.

Also said the samurai would just put an arrow through the knight before he got close, which is silly, because the knights in game wear full plate, making single arrows essentially nothing unless it some how gets into a kink in their armor, which is unlikely, even from a very close range. If you want a full breakdown of how bad the video was, just search Metatron Game Theory response, or Shadiversity Game Theory response, or Skalgrim game theory response. They all break it down pretty easily and point out the inaccuracies and all literally end up saying that it is a silly comparison in the first place, especially considering that Vikings were a lot earlier when compared to both of them.
