I don't really think this game needs a remaster. Maybe a texture pack, but that's about it. If I was to play this game today, I would not be more likely to play if it was a remastered vs the original.

Unfortunately it was poorly received on release since it was drastically different from previous Castlevania games, and the fact a majority of the gameplay is comparable to Shadow of Colossus didn’t help. This game series is still one of my all time favorites regardless of the hate back then. Hopefully it will get a newfound appreciation

Also LoS 2 also wasn’t well received either due to the stealth missions and the whole virus aspect which REALLY bothered a lot of people 😅 I thought turning to a rat was cool and lore accurate but that was just me I guess

This game have everythink. Epic music, epic story, vampires, frankenstein technology, epic demons, long gameplay. This game need a good remaster with today graphic. This game can looks more epic that ever like spyro or medevil remaster.

While the story of LoS and its' successor breaks with Castlevania canon on some occasions, both games, nonetheless, are a fine addition to the impressive line-up of games that makes up the Castlevania series. At least in my humble opinion. And you can't deny that the voice acting cast and the performance was nothing short of spectacular.
