Romancing Saga is a medieval fantasy JRPG that has what is missing from today's Final Fantasy. The most popular series of Romancing Saga has been fully remade. By the way, it is well known that the seven heroes who appear as enemies are victims. The story of Romancing Saga 2 is said to be modeled on the Akira Kurosawa movie "Seven Samurai," but the subtitle "Revenge of the Seven" could be taken to mean that the heroes who once saved mankind were sent out as enemies in deformed forms to take revenge for a debt they owed, but were actually victims of the Seven Heroes.

I just finished the original Romancing SaGa 2 and had a blast, so I'm really hyped about playing this remake because it looks awesome. Just based on the trailer I saw a bunch of recognizable characters and places, as well as skills.

I am beyond excited. Never really played 2 but Romancing SaGa 3 is a top 5 jRPG for me. I cannot wait!

The team that made Trials of Mana remake is the same team that's working on this, and I felt they did an incredible job on Trials. I know the director of this has checked on things wiht Kawazu as well and it seems to have his approval, so I'm really eager to see how it turns out. Day one buy for me.

it looks really cool and it's from the trails of mana remake studio, they got better with every new game, so I think we can trust that this is going to be cool.

This is a huge game right. Tons to do and explore. Graphics look old school but new amazing

Saga games are hit or miss but i think this one will finaly be the one they are bringing together all the systems and ideas from previus entrys and making one that can lead to a future for the franchise or the fall of it if it fails to deliver

i want to try it since i tried the remastered one but i didn't understand a single thing, but i love the concept and the music... also i love Rocbouquet's design. the only thing that i don't understand is the story progression, i guess it's just, go and try different things and see what you get

ロマンシングサガ２は他のゲームにない自分でストーリーを作るゲームだからな。プレイヤーが七英雄と戦うまでの辿った道や歴史がストーリーになるそれがロマンシングサガ２だからな。

Very excited but I'm also in the same boat where I'll play for a bit and then get lost and quit for a year or 2. I'll definitely get this day 1 though

The succession system was the entire point of this game and its story, so they couldn't really not have it

"Revenge of the Seven" sounds like the name of a fictional movie from The Boys.

ロマンシングサガ２の七英雄は日本の黒澤明の映画『七人の侍』がモデルだからな。かつて人を助けた英雄が逆に怖れられ恩を仇で返された英雄が復讐の為にモンスター化した七英雄をプレイヤーが操作する皇帝がどう対峙するかってのがロマンシングサガ２のストーリーだからな。

@@Itss411 ロマンシングサガ２のストーリーのモデルが黒澤明の七人の侍なのはプロデューサーの河津秋敏のインタビューで言われてる有名な話だよ。私はFFがなくした中世ファンタジーのロマンシングサガが好きで裏設定のインタビューもよく見てるからな。

@@Itss411 ？？？？いちおう言っておくが七英雄は普通の人間ではなく『古代人』で少年って概念もないぞ？普通の人間は男と女が繁殖して子を産み８０年ぐらいで死を迎えるが古代人は同化の法を使って寿命を伸ばし続ける種だからな。だから七英雄にそもそも少年時代って概念がないのだ。少年時代があったとしたらその時から既に大人である。ストーリーは七英雄が同胞の古代人がモンスターに襲われてるのを助ける為に本来ある同化の法を改造して禁断のモンスターと同化してモンスターの力を得る『吸収の法』を使った。それをした結果、七英雄は古代人を助けるだけ強くなったが古代人は自分達を助けてくれた七英雄が禁断の法を使った為に七英雄を警戒し、この動画の最初の映像の通り七英雄は古代人にハメられ異次元に飛ばされた。ロマンシングサガ２はそんな七英雄が復讐の為に更にモンスターを吸収し続けた後の話なのだからな。

@@Itss411 そもそもその『少年たち』ってタイトルの映画かドラマか？知らないが日本では聞いたことすらないしな。言っておくがロマンシングサガ２はもう３０年以上前からあるゲームだぞ？なにを勘違いしてるかわからないがスーパーファミコンで出てたロマンシングサガはまだ海外で知られてすらないし日本で少年たちって映画やドラマなど聞いたことすらないしな。ロマンシングサガ２の七英雄のモデルは黒澤明映画の『七人の侍』ってのはロマンシングサガを作った本人がインタビューで言ってるのになにをもって少年たちって日本で聞いたことすらないものを持ち出してるのかな。

I feel intimidated by the series and I'm on the fence to try it out for years. I heard grinding isn't a good idea because enemies get stronger and can give you really trouble and save scumming or New game+ is something you should take advantage of. I have the feeling you can play this game very wrong and this is why I avoided it. I bought the remaster of RS2 but never dared to play it.

I know what you mean. I always thought it sounded really cool and wanted to play it, but it is intimidating. I think they'll address that in the remake to some extent at least. I'm willing to give it a shot for sure.

I don't like games so nonlinear. Just finished SMT 4 and it was a close to nonlinear as I longer to go. I enjoyed it.

I'm somewhat interested in this as I LOVE SaGa Frontier, but I'm wary because if the various systems are as overly complicated as the Romancing SaGa remake I'll end up hating this.
