This really wasn’t a slow start. They were getting the shots. They were just not falling. I wasn’t even worried. The only issue I have is Lay and her defense. She is lazy. The ladies are good. That’s why Tessa got more playing time. Breezy wasn’t good in the 1st half. But Dawn inserted the right players at the right time. Speedy recovery to Ash.

One thing for sure, I don't care how they start it's where they finish for now. They got a bench that will come in and mow them down... It was a great game with the exception of Ash going down! 🏀

It is okay to give the other team credit sometimes. We always have to withstand the first punch from the opponent especially on the road. Once the emotions wear off and it’s just basketball we are fine. This team can’t just throw the jerseys out there and expect to win. We’ll have some dog fights the rest of the year.

You are spot-on concerning Milaysia. She did not like being upstaged by the MSU players and made some careless errors trying to retaliate. If she doesn't start hitting the three ball more consistently, she will become predictable and easier to defend. The team as a whole is being taken off the dribble leading to easy points in the paint. Facing a team like Notre Dame with quick guards that can also fill it from the outside wiill be their nightmare. Hannah dropped 31 on them last year even with Kamilla patrolling the middle and without her running mate, and one of my favorites, Oliivia Miles. I can't imagine what facing that duo would look like now. Without Ashlyn, they just might fall to the middle of the pack down the stretch, but we shall see, my friend. †

The SC girls are a bad matchup for Notre Dame. Quick guards who can take you off the dribble are not the kind of team that beats the SC girls. Big teams with depth who take care of the ball and have consistent 3pt shooters are the teams that gives the girls problems. ala UCLA. Hannah and Miles will have their moments, but the girls will feast on them in the paint and our perimeter depth will wear them down. ask Caitlin Clark about it.

@princeg1000 I don't think Caitlin Clark is a good example. She scored 41 and 30 respectively whether she did it worn down or not. 71 points is 71 points. She was Iowa's only real threat. This year's ND team has multiple scorers, at least 4 in the starting lineup. Even Missouri guards were blowing past the SC players, but fortunately for them, the tigers missed around 30 layups and Bunnies at the basket. And yes, UCLA has a big, but that's not why they won. As I recall, Betts only put up 11. Their guards dropped 50. Also, the bruins shot 47% from the field. SC only shot 36%. As you alluded, 3 point shooters give them problems as well, and UCLA shot nearly 48% from behind the arc, further confirming that it wasn't Betts. Olivia Miles is shooting right at 48% from 3 and both HH and Citron are just under 46%. I'm not saying ND would win, but they are certainly capable, my friend. †

@@Mr..G I was specifically talking about the Championship game when Catlyn scored 18 quick points and wore down as the game went on missing easy shots and committing costly turnovers. For the record I think Miles and Hidalgo are the best college backcourt duo in the country. However, I would still take the gamecocks backcourt because of the depth which I think will eventually wear Miles and Hidalgo down. All of your comments are about the opposing team's offense but when I talk about big teams causing SC problems, I am talking about defense. UCLA was long and tall at every position and this is what caused SC to shoot 36% from the field. I think Joyce, Chloe, Feagins along with the penetration of Tessa and Milaysia will feast on ND in the paint. I know ND has Miles and Hidalgo, but the gamecocks have Raven, Pao, Bree, Tessa, Milaysia and Mattie

@@princeg1000 I hear what you're saying, my friend, but I can't say that CC's 4 turnovers were due to fatigue. Even as a WNBA rookie she averaged five turnovers per game. If she was fatigued after scoring only 12 points down the stretch, then Raven must have been totally exhausted after going 1-11 scoring only 3 points for the entire game. CC's 12 second half points were actually more than the game totals for 10 other's who played. Be that as it may, I don't know how they would wear both HH and Miles down when they couldn't even slow HH down by herself with 9 players in the starting rotation and Kamilla in the paint. With Ashlyn out that's where they are right now, and without Maddy, they're down to 8. That's no different than most top teams. I do agree with your assessment that ND has the best backcourt in WCBB. Both HH and Olivia have serious fuel tanks. I have never seen either gassed. For the most part, in practically every game this season or last season, it was usually the opposing guards under 6'3" that had the most success offensively not the bigs. HH ND 5'6," 31 pts, Scott-Grayson AU 5'9" 31 pts, Leilani Correa UF 6'0" 28 pts, Syla Swords UM 6'1" 27 pts, JerKaila Jordan MSU 5'10" 25 pts, Morgan Sharps BGU 5'10" 25 pts, HVL TCU 5'7" 21 pts, Endyia Rogers TXA&M 5'7" 21 pts, Sydney Parrish IU 6'2" 21 pts, Deja Kelly UNC 5'8" 20 pts, Sammie Puisis USF 6'1" 19 pts. Not a single one was worn down. I think that part of SC's prowess is overated and the mystique is gone. This coming from a Dawn Staley and SC fan. I will need a larger sample size before declaring that it was UCLA's size that was the difference maker since Coach Staley said that it was their ability to execute on both sides of the ball and bad shot selection by the gamecocks. Plus this is only their second loss in 2 seasons, my friend. †

This videos really silly, since JORDAN only scored "4" points in the 2nd-half vs. USC scored over 50+ points
