I'd buy this collection no matter what. These are legitimately the best Megaman games, period. I knew they'd make this the second they announced the X collection. Bummer we had to wait until after the Zero collection to get this. Really hope they do an X Command Missions Remake next with modern graphics. That would sell like hotcakes.

heres the simple thing: not only is this the most accessible way to play them, it's also the single best way for the west to play them. retranslated, a substantial amount of region-locked content available to the west for the first time, online netbattles... easiest 60 bucks i ever spent.

I don't know if it's fair to say but these a GBA games that can run you up easily 40-50hours a piece when your trying to do everything, so 50-60$ for all 6 games is definitely worth it in my opinion, easily a couple hundred hours of gameplay there?

Actually battle network 1 to do everything took over 80 hrs. So each game took like over 100 hrs to do everything

​@@finaluchihashane1760 Caution when playing Battle Network 1. To put it simply, in terms of mechanics, it's basically the franchise's prototype. Housing a number of flaws and constraints to be exposed and snuffed out by the later iterations. So, you risk slogging through some parts.

Yeah it's bit pricy for older games but we are getting both version of 3, 4, 5 , and 6. The old games are also more pricy in the old cart form for each, so 60 is good.

@@BananaReidy a bit pricey yes but not by that much because at something like 40USD it would be a bit of a steal. Age and quality are not necessarily interchangeable and mind you we are not only getting the 10 games, an art gallery, music player and one new game mode like the previous few Legacy Collections. For Battle Network we get an online mode with multiple ways to connect with other players (not simply competing against one another), the original Japanese content originally removed from the western releases, all previously live event exclusive content built into the game with no complicated steps to acquire them. And finally they paid a voice actor to lend their voice to the main menu for more lines of dialogue than just saying the title card (we can’t convince ourselves that, that doesn’t tie into the cost of the game as well). All of that being said (that’s a lot of work put into this) I doubt we will get another collection of this magnitude (all these kinds of things included) for a long time in gaming. And that’s why I don’t mind paying a full ‘triple A’ 60USD price for this, to me it’s the epitome of bang for your buck. I can’t say that for any other collection of games like say (and we’re beating a ded horse at this point but the point still stands) the Mario 3D all stars collection. It’s slow running but it’s really good to be a MEGAMAN franchise fan! A heck of a lot better than in the early 2010’s, may all those canceled projects Rest In Peace.

​@fredsanchez8083 main prob is 4-6 has the patch cards while being $40 (and 4 is bad) and once the full collection goes on sale (probably $50 by a retailer before june), there's no point in the separate collections. It would've been nice to get the wonderswan color and gamecube spinoffs as well as turn off random encounters when you have to time your running though buster max helps.

@@MrVariant we don’t have the luxury of being picky. Just because 4 is a weak entry doesn’t make it any less worthy of being included. And I’m only talking about the bundle collection for 60, not about the two separate volumes that are priced at 40 each, that’s a completely different can of worms. Mind you if the bundled collection was 80 base price THEN that would have raised some flags for me but 60 all together for (give or take) 10 games sounds great plus with ALL of the extra stuff included sounds great and definitely a lot better than many collections released at 60 so far.

I dropped my $60 weeks ago for this collection and I can't wait to get my hands on it this Friday. The price alone is a bargain because if i'm not mistaken the gba cartridges back when I had them on my handheld system. I think the price was $40 each so just six games for the entire story would be $240 before tax so the $60 price for all ten is well worth it just for the games alone.

Looks like a few people said it already, but just in case someone else might see this; These games have a TON of post game and optional content. I'm pretty sure in earlier ones I usually finished with 40-50 hours, and post-game put my totals at more like 80-120 depending on the title.

Only ever played the 4 Blue moon version, but i was into it enough to 100% complete it including borrowing my friend's Red Sun in order to get the pvp chips that only shows up after 100 battles in vs. Looking forward to the other ones including replaying 4 on the red sun version since it has been a really long time since i have played it. Oh and if someone wanted to play a MMBN type game but a lot more fast paced and in roguelike form, then One Step from Eden was inspired from the MMBN gameplay. Very fun.

So I'd never played BN 1 or 2, and so my first one was BN3 White and Blue (grandma got ms both for Christmas one year) and then Bn4 Blue Moon but I played very little of that one and spent most of my time on BN3 not really noticing they were different to be honest I never got to play Bn5 or Bn6 so this collection is perfect for me to not only relive my old high school game but actually play the entire collection that I missed out on

I never played MM battle network. As a kid i had mega man X and got to rent mega man X2. I also had MM V (GB) and mega man legends 1. These collections are GREAT because i get to play all the games i never had, including and especially MM BN, which has versus. Im ecstatic for the MMBN community which is a hardcore gaming community that deserves a lot of love. Im so glad Nintendo is supporting Mega Man still.

My guess the 20$ price increase compared to past legacy collections is due to the boktai content in 4-6 so konami needs thier cut.

The online servers, the actual work put into the games (as they aren't just ported without changes), and the fact that, in many cases, the time it would take for someone to clear out one previous collection would equal to playing 1 game in the BN collection.

Totally worth it, all you need to know. Megaman Battle Network 5 and 6 are my favorites with 6 having the best PVP and 5 having the most fun main storyline, the others aren't bad either but for 5 and 6 alone 60 seems worth it. They added lots of great features too like buster max.

I mean if you're going for the post game final boss for each game, you got a TON of play time. Like... 100's and 100's of hours. There's a lot here. If you spread it out and take your time for each game it could last you a long time.

I recently rushed MMBN2 and it took me around 26 hours I believe. That was without scratching the surface of the post game though, so there's still so much there. That conservative 15 hour a game number is reaaaally conservative. So The games really are worth the price for the full collection.

Also I feel the one shot thing in game to progress the story should mean you don’t get the battle chips after the fight. Cuz then everyone will have the rare chips etc? Cuz no need to put in effort? Just hope it doesn’t ruin the experience. I’d like to know at least the people I fight online are actually not just equipped because of the game cheat basically.

If only they could have worked in the boktai 1 and 2 games. Also I'm waiting for a legends and starforce collection. Also a new unique megaman franchise. I also made sure to pre order the battle network collection so I could get the pre order bonuses. Doesn't matter if it's physical or digital, all pre orders are supposed to have the bonus content. Nothing big, just a couple extra music remixes for the music player and alternate skins for megaman on the start menus for volume 1 and 2. The only real downside to these games is that you can't use GameShark, code breaker or action replay codes, lol.

Why wouldn't they? Capcom has made itself a track record of making collections of previous Mega Man iterations. It would look inconsistent and draw criticism if they don't follow up with a Star Force collection after everything else that's been released.

Not the same. If you bought the U.S region versions back in the day, then you played heavily edited versions. The Legacy collection is basically translated versions of the Battle Network games with loads of exclusive content that Japan kept to themselves up until recently. For example, the Japanese version of Battle Network 6 has ANOTHER additional post game scenario, involving characters from the Boktai series from Konami.

It's better than paying 40+ dollars for each entry back in the day when they released for the first time. For each entry, including the different versions of Battle Network 3 through 6, that would have been a total of 400 dollars plus tax.

​@Darkslayer289 I want to agree with you, but I can see this being a massive grind. Each game is about 40-80hrs depending on the way you play with plenty of post-game. It's gonna be amazing, but maaaaan, maybe I'm just lazy with platinums.
