PS: I'm watching commander Citizen Kate's videos one after the other on Anti-Xeno ships and do honestly start to think looking at how many Thargoids she killed for her videos, that she's solely responsible for the Xeno war now going on :P

Most of VR videos are a pain in the A, because of the natural constant movement of the head, and I can't stand more than a couple of minutes. Even at that, your videos are great. Sometimes even I forger is VR.

Are Gauss cannons the only weapon you can defeat them with? It seems like that is all people use.

No, you can use shard cannons, too, but most pilots don't want to get close to the interceptors bc then they will use the yellow lightning attack. I run a vulture with double shards. It's a lot funner than standing back and sniping imo. At the same time if you want to kill thargoids without taking much damage or risk, then standing back and sniping is better.

You might be able to take out Cyclops with that build James but you are never gonna take down a Hydra or even Medusa with shards on a Vulture. The reason we use gauss is they are universally effective - nothing really to do with being safer. Learning to cold orbit allows not only facing off against Hydra but also any number of thargoids at once - I would highly suggest jumping onto the AXI discord and taking some pointers from our mentor team :) they are very experienced and always happy to help ;)

@@Citizen_Kate Agreed, so far I tried the plasma chargers and remote flack. I then got a 1 slot gauss cannon and it is 3 times more powerful than the standard 1 slot weapon. I have since been to guardian space to collect bits lol.

Don't think that this small ship is a simple to take-down target! I have comfortably destroyed quite a few elite pythons and anacondas with this dream of a vessel. But a thargoid I've not tried before.... It would be more comfortable with a few more hardpoints... guess you have to wait for the community goal to be achieved. Then this vessel can have 4 anti xeno weapons.
