I’m gonna get like... kind of sentimental but also sad and kind of depressing here so... you’ve been warned lmao One of the main reasons I love listening to Dan talk about his family is because you can hear in his voice how much he loves them. My family was dysfunctional at best when I was growing up, to the point where I still have an insecure attachment to both of my parents, despite being 22 years old, and then due to... mostly unrelated trauma developing dissociative identity disorder. Hearing Dan’s stories just... makes me feel the love vicariously. Dan loves his dad so much and... I weirdly sort of envy that.
