RE Kitchen Nightmares, another big difference I've always noticed is that in the UK version, Gordon Ramsey is the narrator, you have constant access to his thought processes and how he feels and how he relates to the people he is helping. But in the US version, Ramsey is this foreign force of nature. The narrator is some generic voice, and you mostly see the events through the eyes of the restaurant owners who are always either 1) intimidated by this big British force of nature with the divine knowledge of how restaurants work or 2) challenging the ARROGANT force of nature who DARES suggest that their menus should be less than 10 pages long. Gordon Ramsey is barely a person he's something that everyone else reacts to.

If Mario Maker 1 was 6 years ago, it would be realistic for someone to have got the first game as a child of 12, grown up with it, and is now starting out a career as a level designer because of it.

There's some extremely American reality tv tropes that I hate that this convo reminded me of. Shark Tank came after the Canadian Dragon's Den, and I swear I watched one episode and had to flick off when some woman who made a new version of a toilet seat cover had to walk through a grassy field and tell us her life story.

I hated that show. The glassblowing was great, but all the female contestants were just objectively terrible people. You had the "my gender is Japanese" girl, the "feminism equals Barbie cake made of glass" idiot, and then "everyone who doesn't like me or my art is sexist, except I'm actually the most sexist person in any room I'm in" who won the whole show.
@kayleighbrown4593 жыл бұрын
@@MonkehBuns The "everyone who doesn't like me or my art is sexist, except I'm actually the most sexist person in any room I'm in" chick did get on my nerves. But the rest of them seemed fine. You gotta remember they're responding to questions a lot of the time. They're not just randomly saying stuff.

Arin: "Nobody uses their subscription feed anymore!" Me:**avoids eye contact** I naturally arrange all my apps and browsing to avoid all algorithm based functions. I don't consume enough to provide enough data to make them accurate, so I cater my own viewing. I am a human. My computer functions at MY will, not the other way around!
@Ayoul3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Arin always takes things to eleven. It's not nobody, but it's true that most views are from people not subscribed. It may vary, but I know for guys like corridor crew and their react series it's more like 40/60 of subbed versus unsubbed.
