Advocating therapy and meditation (two things that I can absolutely attest help make you feel MUCH more happy and healthy)? Recommending two of the best songs I've heard in ages and making me realize there's tons of awesome music out there that I don't know about? Poetically describing scenic snowy vistas, making me want to go out and get fresh air and just love life, in addition to the awesome ideas for enjoying music in new ways that make me want to stay inside and also just love life? Freeing several endangered and adorable Buzzy Beetles into the wild on live national TV? This is it, this is the best episode of Game Grumps.

Why is everybody hating on the GameGrumps for the whole therapy and meditation thing? I understand not everybody has the money to go to therapy, but if you have a problem, you can easily talk to a family member or friend. Going to therapy whilst healthy is perfectly fine; it can help relieve stress, and other common day-to-day things. Meditation is just sitting down on a floor and calming your self down, so I see no reason for people to get mad over that.

+Ryan Cat The general attitude is that only idiots post on youtube comments, and sometimes that is reinforced, and other times it is blatantly defied, like with your comment here.
@andrewmowere61069 жыл бұрын
+Ryan Cat Personally, I think it was the line which went something like, "I'm not telling you to get therapy, everybody... but get therapy, everybody." There is no middle ground there, and that line came from the more understanding one. The subject was already something foreign, and people need to understand that the same way it's okay to get into therapy/self help, it is also acceptable to not do so. All is rooted in being true with yourself. Their chat didn't get THAT point across well enough, in my humble opinion.
@sassynick55989 жыл бұрын
It was a joke, 'everybody, get therapy'. Still, like Mark said, it's good to talk to other people, but if you really have depression or something that serious, talking to a professional might be a necessity to be able to enjoy life, to keep on living even. Not saying it's always cheap, but for people who REALLY need it, it's still cheaper than a funeral and people lifelong grief over 'why they did it" .

To all the people saying that it's better to talk to a loved one than to pay someone to listen: Therapists are good to talk to because they can provide a clear outsider's perspective on your problems and have actually gone to school and know how to handle mental illness. Talking to friends and family can add stress to your daily life by complicating your relationship with them, and they probably have no idea how to handle actual mental problems. There's nothing wrong with confiding in a close friend, but for regular help, therapy is the way to go for most people (as long as you can find a good therapist)
@colelipe40729 жыл бұрын
I tried talking to a therapist, all I did was feel worse about myself. I'm much happier thinking on my own and doing things I know I like. I don't need other people to tell me how to be happy, (Not saying that I don't like being around other people), because I know what makes me happy, and nobody can change that.
@em49609 жыл бұрын

Why do they think the clear rate of a level is how many PEOPLE played it? Its how many MARIOS played it. If you play it 10 times, and beat it once in those 10, the clear rate is 10%. meaning that, with a clear rate of 10%, assuming everyone who ever played the level actually beat it eventually, you can expect to play it 10 times and finally beat it.

It really has a negative stigma to it that alot of people subconsciously attribute to it. There's nothing wrong with meditation and other "self improvement" things like that, those things are just inherently douchey. They are sort of tied to that "enlightened" mentality Danny mentions, where you don't need or want things other people need or want, and that does give off a douchey vibe. It's kind of like buying a new $35k car. Yeah, you have it, but there isn't any way to bring it up in conversation without sounding douchey.

is there anything remarkable about idaho?
@simonjohnson37389 жыл бұрын
Noct Smurf nope. Besides a few facts about the oregon trail, we got nothing interesting. Maybe the new nampa public library but that's it. Idaho's mascot is a fucking potato for fucks sake and people forget we are a state.

6:18 Just let Arin take his risks. 7:47 Only 25 people beat the stage. That world record looks a little less impressive now :P I also bet the record has fallen since this episode has gone up.

I honestly really like when they talk about their own lives and experiences. I'm pretty young, so I don't know much about how life works and how it's gonna be; so it's so refreshing and informant to hear them talk about their experiences and their opinions on life and how it works. In some way, it makes growing up seem less scary for me; they made it through some tough times but they're here and happy, so I feel like I'll probably be ok, too!

I love it when they recommend music, it's great to learn about the more obscure artists they tend to mention.

7:38 It's a mixture of katakana, hiragana, and Kanji, tho there is a solid amount of Kanji in it. "スイッチを足場にし続けることができる者は天国へ、できない者は地獄へ” Romaji: "Suittchi wo ashiba ni shi tsutzukeru koto ga dekiru mono ha tengoku he, dekinai mono ha jigoku he" Essentially it means, in a dramatic voice, "Those who can switch between platforms will go to heaven, those who cannot will go to hell." Bitch please

Arin's slowly turning into an audiophile, next thing you know he'll have a whole room in his house just for listening music, a room with just one chair, acoustic treatment and a sound system, he'll be buying expensive audio cables (when i say expensive, i mean $1500 a meter expensive) and studio-grade monitoring systems. It's like a drug addiction only a lot more expensive

The things they were talking about in the beginning, like being in the moment, it's called mindfulness. It truly is a skill I've been practicing it with my therapist for a few years now.

as someone who's been in therapy for 8 years, thank you so much for all the positive words about it! sometimes I feel ashamed that I'm in therapy and will have to be in therapy for the rest of my life because of mental illness. It's nice to know there are others going through similar things

Only scrubs go to therapy. I don't, cause I'm too perfect! Except for the part where I do, and I'm not perfect, and going to therapy probably helped me continue to live to the point where I'm writing this comment and my mental state is probably still not good... Go to therapy, everyone.

3:23 You a witch, Danny? Because we don't call it therapy we call it shadow work. Sometimes what's in that dark space is power stuff too, so don't be afraid to look in there, and don't be afraid to accept that we're not all going to become the status quo idea of "healthy" )♥(

The chatter. I thought I was crazy but I guess other people have it too. That's nice to know.
@mayravixx257 жыл бұрын
What I call "The chatter" are the little thoughts in my mind that make me feel self conscious every day of my life, as if I'm not good enough for the world. It sounds stupid, but I just want the world to accept me. I don't like always being the outcast.

y'know honestly, im glad they talked about therapists and self help because ive been thinking a lot lately about getting myself a therapist (i have diagnosed anxiety, and honestly 100% sure i have depression) and i just really need someone to talk to who knows how to help me, y'now? as well as the self help ive been thinking of doing yoga and all that. so thank you, danny and arin, youve kinda given me the shove i needed to put my thoughts into action

You really should bro when I was born the umbilical tied around my neck stopping air to my brain so I had to have it shunt to live. I've also been physically beat by my father and a lot of other things I don't want to talk about. But you really should for me talking helps the emotion flow kind of like electricity you need to complete the circuit. And even though I do have many many disabilities counseling helps for me although my meds are stupid right now. Anyways I wish the best for you

I've been feeling so awful lately and completely hopeless in how to help myself. But I've been debating on talking to someone and getting help. I'm definitely gonna do it now. :) thank you guys so much! You both really inspire me and help me through the day.
