instead of making a hole in the front to fill it you could always leave one side open, flip it then fill it then neatly fold the felt and sew to make it look like it wasn't there, but your way works too :)

I just made one for a friend! It was super fun to do, even though my larger circle punch has a part of the edge that isn't so sharp so cutting the circles wasn't that fun. I love this craft!

I decided to make a slightly larger dark blue squid (Didn't have the chalk, plus I have never sewn before) but it came out quite well! The eyes weren't the best, considering I didn't have any internet connection or sewing scissors, but the rest was fine! I went to a local sewing shop in Penrith, England, called 'Just Sew' and they had almost everything I needed, and it was quite cheap as well. Felt for 55p per A4 sheet, 250g polyester stuffing for £2.90, 12 needles for 90p and a spool of thread for £1.60 per spool. Overall, I'm really pleased with how it came out. I only had trouble with tying knots, my mum helped me there, and she said I have a talent, and that I should continue sewing. She also told me she did embroidery when she was younger! Planning to go to a sewing shop in my home town and to make more squids, and even try to make a Navi plush. My dad told me to ask about sewing courses when I go there. ^-^

I usually sew on the eyes, it takes longer but it seems more stable than sticky-back, and i dont like how glue usually makes cloth feel stale
