I remember feeling a little sad. I know you don't see him except for portraits but it's like...this is the character I fought valiantly to hang the USSR flag over Berlin on Veteran. And he just dies. Brutally. With no option to turn away. *Then, in something nobody ever did before in CoD, you kill non-traitorous allied forces afterwards.* I know you don't have to kill the British and the point is to escape but it still felt fucked up to kill an enemy and pick up a Sten.

Have you played BF1's Campaign? I think most of it is pretty good, but it should be longer. I've played each game of the MW trilogy at least 10 times and Blops 1 & 2 at least 5 times and while they tell cool stories, they all have their flaws. For example the snowmobile mission or better yet the reasoning behind the war between Russia and the USA is quite stupid. I mean, is the Moscow police so stupid not to recognize the chairman of the ultranationalist party on the cameras or have they ever heard about balistics? Just because they were using US weapons doesn't mean they were all Americans, does it. Tgey see Allen's body and they instantly know he is American. Also, Yuri was a witness and should have told that it was Makarov. In real life there is something called "investigation". Countries don't go to war the next day after some shit goes down. The reasoning behind General Sheperd's betrayal is also quite stupid. He lost 30000 soldiers in Call of Duty 4 and he got depressed, so why not start a third world war that could potentially go nuclear and destroy himanity (this means more of his fellow soldiers dead). About Blops: Blops one was pretty good, but chemical weapons weren't something new, because poisonous gas was first used by the Germans in WW1, also the Germans had no control at all over their missles, while they were in flight, they were never able to aim them with the precision that Steiner presents to Dragovich. Also Dimitry Petrovich Minin, who is the real soldier that stuck the Soviet Flag over the Reichstag(I believe this was his name) wasn't killed in a gas chamber, he was only forgotten, but he lived to an old age. Mason's brainwashing is somewhat plausible, but escaping the gulag is unrealistic. Also there's no way for Woods and Kravchenko to survive that explosion at all. There is no way that Mason would find Woods in Angola, because there is no reason for Woods to be there and/or be alive. Menendez shouldn't have survived the shot to the head. Hudson was a badass in the first game, modelled after Bruce Willis, but in Blops 2 he was a total pussy and he betrayed Mason and Woods for no reason, besides David, who somehow got abducted without anyone knowing. Menendez pulling off a revenge plan 40ish years later is unrealistic. David being a Navy seal at the age of 45 is somewhat plausible, and the betrayal of Salazar is unrealistic. I am not saying that these games aren't fun to play, but that they are not perfect.

The British and Americans were allies with the USSR in WWII in the same way the enemy of one's enemy is your friend. This is a fictional event, featuring British special forces out to obtain something the Russians also wanted. While I can't attest to casualties in reality, the British certainly felt the start of the cold war very heavily before it ever really set in over in NA.

The British in the Cold War were on the Americans' side. Theoretically they'd believe Reznov's squad we're Nazis or had orders to engage Red Army troops. Hence, the end was a three way battle between the British, Dragovich's men, and Reznov's squad.

Also, on my second playthrough I just made a dash to the exit. Feels fucked up killing SAS/OHMSS. Different than MW2 where you're betrayed and the Americans become the bad guys at the end because their General was a corrupt douche.

I would like it if the next cod took place in Vietnam or in World War 2, I kinda wanted battlefield 1 take place in world war 2 but i'll take a world war 1 game.

This is the easiest mission in the entire game on veteran, once you get the rifle with a scope, you just snipe your way through the level

Yeah : I just went to the left and Used the mortar to take out the bridge then, snipered the enemy soldiers on the stairs on the left then, use the mp40 towards the enemy soldiers inside the building on the right or the mp44 then, get to the top floor sniping and hurled frags and the rest isn't too hard either with the help of the mortar teams on veteran mode

What I loved about BO is that they chose to set the campaign in 2, sometimes three different eras. I have not played BO3 but I'd assume you have either like a WWI/II or a MW time frame mission somewhere in there (OR one further into the future). Correct me if I'm wrong. Always thought the German plan was an interesting what if, also more interesting was the fact they sailed to Baffin Island to fire the rockets, I suppose in order to be in range of both DC and Moscow? (Even though an actual V2 never had anything close to that range). I'm also assuming Nova 6 gas was inspired by Sarin nerve gas. Anyway a pretty frightening last hurrah of the third reich.

That's what I was wondering as well. According to his wiki page (callofduty.fandom.com/wiki/Nevski): "Nevski, unlike Reznov, escaped from being captured". It's wierd that they kept him alive and not Petrenko. I was thinking that they will bring him later in the campaign or in future games but they never did.

I read in a forum that right after this mission Reznov and Nevski were running from Dragovich's men but they were overpowered. Reznov was captured and Nevski escaped (maybe because he was not too important for Dragovich). He probably running out of the Russia and sought protection from another country
