Frankly the Information on Morrowind in Skyrim is full of so much contradiction that it’s pretty much impossible to take anyone at their word, in the Quest for Bran-Shei we’re told that he’s actually the last living descendant of House Telvanni since the Argonians wiped the house out, but Brelyna in the College of Winterhold claims to be a part of House Telvanni and Neloth claims that House Telvanni is still around. I think it’s best to assume that the Combined destruction of Red Mountain Erupting and the Argonian Invasion was so apocalyptic and devastating that there’s no way to properly take census of what’s still around, perhaps all the Silt Striders died out in one part of Morrowind while in another part they survived.

@@InquisitorThomas I thought Bran-shei was the last heir of the actual family named Telvanni, not the last of the Great House Telvanni. (I'm pretty sure there are other recurring Telvanni, I don't remember off hand.) Outside of House Telvanni, there's a borderline unique undead example: Volrina Quarra appears as a living NPC in ESO, but reappears as the head of the Quarra Vampire Clan in Morrowind. As with Helseth and Berenzeraih, there was an error. During ESO: Morrowind's beta her race was set to Dunmer, and her voice work was recorded by one of the Dunmer voice actresses, however the original NPC was an Imperial. By the time ESO Morrowind released, her race had been modified, but the NPC still has Dark Elf voicework. Anyone else give their characters the same last name across all sequels so that you could play as "descendants" of the original hero?
@jakacresnar58553 ай бұрын
my character since Daggerfall is the same Altmer character with the same name, appearance and even more or less the same skills. Lore-wise it checks out, since Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion aren't very far apart, and Altmer live very long lives so even the 200 year gap between Oblivion and Skyrim just means he got gray hair. There is some conflicting info though, in in-game books, Elves are said to live up to a 1000 years, although few of them actually did due to disease and violence, and yet Barenziah lived to be 430 and was considered "old". Divayth Fyr is said to be 4000 years old but it's heavily implied he prolonged his life either through magic, Corprus disease or both. Then you have an ESO Q&A which contradicts all of this, saying Elves live "two to three times longer than men".

I have a theory about why some call Shadowmere a him, and others a her: Shadowmere is a Gelding. That means, Lucian thought Shadowmere was a mare because he saw no balls. However, Astrid examined the horse further, and determined: "Oh, it's a him, he's just a gelding."

You know, I bet Blackrazor is also an Homage to Stormbringer. Blackrazor is a sentient greatsword from Dungeons and Dragons whose sole purpose is to consume the souls of the living. It is also immensely powerful, and often serves as a patron for Hexblade Warlocks who seek the sword's power. And yes, Blackrazor is a void-black greatsword.

Her honeyed words hide devious purposes. Heed instead the words of the Covenants, and trust not in the promises of Daedra!" - Primate Artorius Ponticus, Akatosh Chantry

@@mrcopycat2355 i think u can definitely argue some daedra r good, all the good events in morrowind literally wouldnt have happened without azura
@NATIK0013 жыл бұрын
Even the "good" Daedra do bad things, and hey sometimes the "bad" Daedra do good things, the common thread is that they do what best serves them and their aims, some Daedra just have aims that favour mortals more and others less. Azura didn't facilitate the events of Morrowind out of the goodness of her heart. She claims she wanted to help the Dunmer, but she also sought the death of Vivec. Vivec's loss of powers/death/disappearance leads directly to Red Mountain erupting which certainly goes against her stated aim of helping the Dunmer. More likely she just wanted to punish the Tribunal for their betrayal of her and Nerevar, damn the consequences. Meridia doesn't understand nuances, she is the lady of light, she burns away all who doesn't follow her rules if at all possible. She tends to punish evildoers but only because some evildoers like necromancy, vampirism and the like. She doesn't actually care about suffering of mortals or anything like that. Hircine cares about the hunt and its aspects, he likes the hunter, the hunted and all who take part in the hunt. He doesn't lift a finger to do anything but make the hunt interesting, sometimes that means helping the little guy (the prey) and sometimes it means creating a little guy (creating prey), we may consider the first good and the second bad, Hircine doesn't care. Hircine also created Lycanthropy which is a disease considered an evil to most mortals. Malacath is gets the closest to good in his protection of outcasts, but he is so restrictive in his protection and in his rules that arguably he actually creates outcasts. Some Orsimer believe Malacath is a lie even, a fiction of Boethia meant to keep them from following their true god of Trinimac. Either way it's possible Malacath actually helps keep the Orcs in their outcast status because of his own desires and that he might not be helping them. As for the other Daedra there are lots of times where even the outright evil Daedra will help cause some "good" event on Nirn because it helps that Daedra win a personal battle. The Daedra are all about self interest, it just happens at times that Daedric self interest aligns with what is best for mortals.

@zenoblues778710 ай бұрын
For unclear reasons, wizards have a much longer life span than their race is normally capable of. This is across the board. Only mage elves live more than a few hundred years. Only mage humans live past their 80's. With necromancy or vampirism, you can extend your life indefinitely.
