Here's my idea for a spin-off/side story: Unknown Character: "Yes.... a coin can land on it's edge. But without anything to keep it from falling over it will eventually land on either side." Kain & Raziel turn around to face this being, no doubt wanting to question him/her. Unknown being: "I am aware of your questions, most of which I am forbidden to answer.... I am not of your era. What I can tell you is that we have a common foe, the one who devours all life. You know of whom I speak, as to my name, I cannot tell you now, it is not the right time."

'mysterious stranger nobody knows appears and introduces a hundred things never mentioned before in the story, and then unites everyone against a common enemy' just feels like whoever is in charge of the book/movie/series/game wants to keep making more of it due to popularity so they throw a twist like this at the end to justify a sequel...

He never even tried the other side of the coin wtf happened in the other ending goddammits it's weird using a coin flip to represent choises because coin flips are not choices they are random and it's not like we see kain dr who through time so where does he get this info,? Did DID kain just dick with the time machine until raziel showed up because it was literally his only option....kain realized he was player2 in his own series that has to hurt like if destiny says kain stuck coconuts up his ass he would just have to pray that raziel attacked the coconuts with the reaver otherwise kain would literally not be able to stop himself like why am I making my only ally hate me??? Ummmm I literally can't stop myself i mean I could get raziel to go back and stop me from ripping off his wings or at least explaining how it will give raziel awesome destiny powers but instead I'm gonna basically kick myself in the balls for 3 games and play the villain.......kain makes no sense like if he didn't understand it it would make more sense but I struggle to figure out what the frig he is trying to do in soul reaver 1 I kinda want to know what the original plan was because I really wanted to see a conclusion set in the vampire apocalypse it is such a cool setting that feels abandoned

I played LoK:Defiance when I was a young teen. I didn't fully grasp what was going on but I knew it was something special. The Music, dialogue, voice acting all top notch. This series is awesome! Super job with your script and narration. I love your unique style and how you've made this "playthrough" series so original, entertaining, and just brilliant! Seriously job well done! It's like listening to an audio book while watching a video at the same time. You've added so much I can't express just how awesome this is. I played this game back in 97 when I was a young teenager. I remember it fondly and am glad you're giving it its due especially for the generation and players that missed it. The game was ahead of its time with sound, narration, story, and gameplay. It was unique and frankly the first game that proved games were more than what the critics of videogames complained about, it was more than what came before it. It proved games could be "art" and tell complex stories for a mature audience where morality was gray while providing character motivations and context to the events in the game. It made the player emotionally invested in the outcome of the world, it's story, and characters. This game brought the hobby out of the previous generation of Mario and Mortal Kombat, it brought gaming into the modern era. This is not to diminish the games that came before it. They laid the groundwork but we're incomplete because they didn't have the story, world building, or narration which makes this game like a movie, like a book, like "art". The level of detail in the world, the style of graphics, and the "completeness" of the game world, story, game direction, and vision was incredible. The whole game was a single vision executed to perfection from start to finish. I wish game makers would return to this level of craftsmanship once again. Oh how I miss this time in game development where so much was being accomplished and the excitement was felt around the world. Now it's so predictable and all about loot boxes and the next COD. If anyone is in game development use this game as a guide for what you want to accomplish. Study what they did well, what needs improvement, while also keeping in mind the technical limitations at the time. No one did what this game did, it was a masterpiece of narration, story telling, and world. I can't state that enough.

Not sure if it was somewhere mentioned, but you can come back later to visit the Barkeep 9:33 with Control Mind or it's upgraded version Spirit Wrack. Behind the Barkeep, you can find a Spirit Forge, so direct him there to be sacrificed. He will die horribly and you will be rewarded with many Flay items, making it a very profitable revenge. Mind control can be learned in Termogent Forest.
