Li Mei gets all her backstory drama sorted out in her chapter and Tanya’s ending, but doesn’t go anywhere after that, her ending has her stick with being first constable (still better treatment than in the midway timeline, ngl). and then Reiko doesn’t have much character besides “Shao’s #2.” i seriously doubt the writers will have him survive his battle with Onaga, he might get resurrected by Shinnok or someone with necromancy and gain his white eyes like he’s typically depicted with.

As interesting as Kitana and Johnny may seem as a potential couple, it wouldn’t make any sense. Yes, the intros between these two showcase a more friendly Kitana than she’s ever been before with Johnny. However, she does reject him. In a dialogue with Mileena, Johnny says Kitana slapped him in the face. In a dialogue with Kitana she admits that although she finds Johnny amusing, she doesn’t romantically like him. And in a dialogue with Tanya, Tanya tells Johnny that Kitana is romantically interested in someone else (my guess is Raiden). In a dialogue with Liu Kang, Johnny wanted to know who he was romantically paired with in the previous timeline (obviously Sonya). Liu Kang responded with “Spoilers”, basically hinting that Johnny and Sonya will reunite in this New Era. When you select Sonya as a kameo with Johnny being the announcer he says “Some day Lieutenant Bae”. And if you watch Kenshi’s ending, he met Jax and formed a secret agency, the OIA. Sonya wasn’t mentioned but I assume she is involved since Jax is there. In an intro dialogue, Johnny even asks Kenshi about who this Jax guy is that Kenshi is working with. And with Kenshi being Johnny’s best friend, he will most certainly introduce Johnny to both Jax and Sonya at some point. Don't know about Kitana and Raiden, when Kung Lao tells Kitana about Raiden crush on her, she says "it's unwelcomed", so it sounds like she's not into him... but in the Kitana's dialogues with Liu Kang and Geras, she's interested in knowing the realtionship Liu Kang had with the Titan Kitana (the past timeline Kitana)

@@danieldeleon45 U are correct. Kitana did admit that while Raiden’s crush on her is sweet, it’s unwelcome. However if she truly wasn’t interested, why did she even confront Raiden about his crush on her? She at least wants to know from Raiden himself if his crush on her is genuine or not. And yes, if anything she REALLY wants to know about her Titan counterpart and Liu Kang’s relationship.

And that's exactly why I like shipping, because even if the plans for the story is not for those two characters to end up together, it's fun to imagine how their dynamic would be like, even if in canon they never actually interacted (crackships exist for a reason, for God's sake)

@@shirosaki15 My apologies. I just get really/too invested into the romantic dynamic between certain characters from franchises that I enjoy. I try to make sure everything makes logical sense. From both a storytelling perspective, and by understanding who the characters are. Especially if those characters are among my favorites. U are right though. At the end of the day it’s not THAT deep.
