K-pop groups are formed by audition and then when you pass that they train you. This is when some people make it or get cut because they are not able to improve. In some of the BABYMONSTER introduction videos you can see that when they were in the BAEMON project in the last two years before they debuted that there was 10 trainees left. When they got to where they did THE LAST EVALUATION we only see 7. This goes on with most of the groups that you see in K-pop. YG usually takes a long time before they debut their artists or groups, somewhere around 4 - 5 years before they feel that they are ready. Most of the members of BABYMONSTER trained for about 4 and a half years. Pharita and Chiquita are kind of the exception with Pharita being trained for just over two years and Chiquita being trained with little over a year. Maybe it was because they were added to the BAEMON project a little later after they auditioned to the conpany.

In the yg, which is the company, artists are trained for years, Baemon has an average of 5 years of training and there is also a reality show about evaluation as their system that already the last evaluation reacts

This group of kids, if you watch from the beginning, you will know that they are very talented. Can sing all kinds of songs Please follow and watch.

They're hype even before the start. This group is so long awaiting by YG fan. First check out YG Next movement (1 min. teaser vdo). Then their individual Live performances (1--2 mins live for each). If you want more then "Introdcution" and "Final Evaluation".

Heres how kpop auditions work 1. You audition for which company is looking for a new boy/girl group 2. If you fail then you fail but if you pass im pretty sure you become a k-pop trainee 3. You train for a couple of years 4. You get evaluated on your skills like vocals for vocalists, rap for rappers and everyone for dancing 5. Lets say you did horrible in you dance and vocals and rap evaluations then you'll be eliminated 6. Everyone has completed the evaluation now comes the final lineup of the group 7. Lets say theirs 14 people but only 7 will be chosen meaning the best 7 will be chosen and the other 7 are eliminated and have to go home 8. After some time the final group will release a pre-debut song (optional for k-pop groups) 9. Finally the group will make their debut and yeah thats pretty much it *NOTE* in your head you might be thinking its easy but its anything but easy, trainee's go through harsh training days to prefect their skills and its all competition, the more trainee's the more competitive

@@Phasecast To be a bit more precise here - Blackpink shared some insights into this process: Basically you start VERY young as a trainee - Babymonster even more so than Blackpink used to. When Blackpink started as a trainee at about 14-15 years old, that meant that they must leave their parents home and permanently live in the dorm YG provided for them (Blackpink said they had some cockroaches in their early dorm). They trained for about 14h each day, 13 days straight without any break, then they've got half a day off to do what they want. Every month(!) there is a rigorous evaluation process going on: Everyone has to prepare a solo song, smaller sub-groups (they will be assigned to groups) has to provide a group song (with their own choreo) and a video. This is presented in front of the producers, they will grade everyone and give harsh and direct feedback in various categories. If they are not improving enough, they will be sent home. This whole thing goes on for years (usually 4-5 years at YG)! So basically you start very young, leave your family and train for years and years, never knowing if you will make it! They gave up their teenage years, never knowing if their dream will come true or if they are sent home at the very last minute... I have a deep respect for this, such dedication at such a young age! If they debut then they are given contracts for usually 7 years (i understand that's the maximum time allowed by Korean law, could be wrong here), after which the company usually let them go completely (because by then they would have a new group ready again) or they would negotiate new contracts with completely different conditions - that happened with Blackpink: their 7 year contract ended about 9 months ago, they negotiated with YG and agreed to come together irregularly as a group for Blackpink activities, but aside from that they are pursuing their solor careers without YG.

These clips are a montage of their training in which most of them trained for 4-6 year before debuting. Only the Thai members, Pharita (the H is silent) and Chiquita trained for 3 years and 2 years respectively. At one point during their training there were 10 members but 3 of them didn't make it.

Actually a lot more girls did not make it. The Baby Monster auditions and selection started 7 years ago with thousands auditioning in different countries. I am aware of 1 American, 2 Chinese and 2 other Korean girls that was leaked to be selected 3 years ago but do not even show up in this final group. Illit, a Hybe group also has 1 ex Baby Monster trainee as well.

Start with the "next movement" then their solo performances still on yg channel.. it should be black n white.
