Great reaction - and at the risk of repeating info you already have - the Kami Band that night were Leda Cygnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar), BOH (6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums). There can't be many vocalists who would fancy their chances following in instrumental intro like that (as you are aware it is its own thing with its own title 'Mischiefs of the Metal Gods'), but 16 year old Su just rises up from the depths of "below stage" on her little platform as if she was summoned by the Kami ... and she takes over the stage, standing high up, all lights on her, the Kami slowly spinning around below her. 'Rondo of Nightmare' is possibly the darkest of their songs lyrically, Su is caught in a recurring nightmare running through the dark from something she can't see. In the part with her looking like she was almost suspended in mid air she is hiding in or by a fountain, but whatever has been chasing her is still coming closer and, accepting there is no escape, she asks that if she is to die won't it at least show itself to her.

Great reaction, thanks! This was just the second time they performed it live (the first one was just the previous night at the same venue) and Su-metal, being 16 at the time, was standing by herself on a relatively small and high platform, without any safety and probably not being able so see a thing due the spotlight. And she still performed like THIS. Wonder why she's called the Queen? The "rondo" in the name refers to the musical refrain form. The typical feature of any rondo is the return to the main theme after each digression giving the song a dark feeling of moving in circles without any possible way out. One of the best known rondos is Beethoven's "Für Elise". See you next time!

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。As other viewers commented below, each member of Kami Band is working on his own project. If you want to see the bassist BOH's usual performance (as a fusion musician), you can find a good and recent video with key words - kari band u/yeah!! "Rondo" is a musical form with a recurring leading theme. I can't tell how many times I have viewed this video. It is literally a rondo of happy dream for me. Kamis' super solos were excellent enough as a main event in the show, but once the 16-year-old Queen (as of 2014) emerged from the underground, she colored everything differently with her penetrating voice then turned Kami Band's plays into a ritual to summon her.

Thanks for keep following our suggestions, Kami Band intros are melting faces for sure and this one is no exception, they got very few selected songs with those intros, some are more technical than others but all of them are fascinating, and the variations on intros are also unique on different live concerts. The Kami Band as a whole don't have their own band outside of BM, some of them used to gather together and have a band along with other musicians, sadly one of the guitarrist (not playing in this show but beloved by BM fans) past away and that band did tribute to Mikio Fujioka after his sad departure. That band is called Kari Band and they got some jazz songs and exquisite execution for sure. Sorry i can't give you some links right now, maybe later I'll try to give you more help. _Akumu No Rondo_ combines not only heaviness with dark waltz and dope time signatures changes but also delicate and fragile beautiness that makes you wants to grab your inception kit and go to rescue this 16 yo queen from this nightmare. Temporarily title song was "Kill The Alice" so is like Alice but instead of Wonderland she's trapped in a nightmare trying to escape and avoid some evil entity. Rondo is a musical form in which you can hear a repetitive pattern, you can hear an example of this in the song "Blue Rondo a la Turk" The Kami Band doing their second magnificent intro of the night with their own set called "Mischiefs Of Metal Gods". They become regular after this special live at Budokan 2014 and leaving baby-bones, from early shows, behind, shout-out to them thou. Many people forget this was the day (night) after the first live premiere of this song and she's dancing and performing like she already did a dozen of times before, like a pro. Also she's showing some fierceness here dancing on that high dangerous mini stage with no wire and that's how she keeps winning everyone's heart. But not everything was perfect here despite their impeccable performance and sound, and the day before the girls face that dangerous challenge on the stage, taking their own revenge after coming back in 2021 to celebrate their 10 years and leaving those ghosts behind, fortunately. Thanks for sharing this wonderful SuMetal solo and my favorite along with _"Akatsuki"_ Keep watching all their solos because all 4 of them are beautiful and of course the rest of the girls under a subgroup called "Black Babymetal" are enjoyable too, so don't miss out their other 4 songs too. Don't worry about your new favorite, with BM happens almost everytime you hear a new song, we used to say our favorite BM song is the one I'm currently watching lol Thanks for sharing this as always and see you next time 🦊🤘

I prefer this solo section a lot over the one you have seen in CMIYC. The background music is more melodic, and the same goes for every individual solo part as well. I'm in love with Ohmura's bends and overall phrasing in this and in general. As for the actual song, it's one of my absolute favourites. The melody of the chorus is pretty damn perfect with its haunting dark beauty. The atmosphere of the whole song is very intense and fits the lyrics perfectly.

Some of the Kami DO have their own little band where they jam together. Their most notable song is called Hills of Westeria. I'll link both the link where Mikio played ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/hn6tY4WhjtCbd6M ), and then they played it in tribute to Mikio after his untimely death RIP (I couldn't find a link to this version as it seems to have been removed from all the usual places I'd post a link to). Point is, however, that the Kami band DO have their own gig, and they have a name of their band (can't remember it right now, but I'm sure Taipan, or Grington300 300 will know, heck...they may even know some secret links to the tribute song that hasn't been removed yet...)

This was the first concert where the Kami band played the whole concert live. On previous concerts, the mime band Babybones, would play the first half, and there Kami band would play the other half or the encore. The one constant member that has been there from the beginning is Leda Cygnus, who is also a member of the band Galneryus (I'll add some links at the end). Takayoshi Ohmura, the one with the pink guitar, is the second one to be there the longest. He has his own band and has played with Marty Friedman in his band. Third would be Mikio Fujioka, an actual music professor at University, who was a teacher to Takayoshi. This is Boh's third concert and has become pretty much the permanent bass player for the Kami. Although he, Mikio and another BABYMETAL drummer named Yuya Maeta, formed the Kari band. A metal jazz fusion instrumental group. This is all pre 2019. As after Mikio's death, his position was taken once again by Leda Cygnus and new addition ISAO. In 2019 the Western Kami were introduced. Which consisted of GALACTIC EMPIRE guitarist Chris Kelly, CJ Masciantonio, Clint Tustin on bass, and Anthony Barone on drums. They played the US and European legs of their 2019 Metal Galaxy tour. LEDA also plays in other bands liked Deluhi, and Undivide. I could pick which video to give you😂, so here one of my favorites. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmmvaoB3Yr-jmqc Here's one of Takayoshi Ohmura, who released a new album about 6 months ago. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKa6Z3yph5ismMU Here is Mikio Fujioka, Boh, and Yuya Maeta in the Kari band. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZSxe6WCfMR7iaM And as a special bonus, here are the Kami band members playing a song they wrote together while in Babymetal, and actually got to play it once in a BABYMETAL concert. This song is not a BABYMETAL song. This is Takayoshi , Mikio, Boh, and Hideki playing The Hills Of Wisteria played during a Takayoshi Ohmura concert. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hn6tY4WhjtCbd6M

_pushes up glasses_ Ackshyually, Leda was not there from the beginning - they had a completely different set of Kamis at Legend I, the very first show with Kamis, and Leda started at Legend Z at the same time as Hideki and Ohmura. BOH joined up at their next show when they kicked off the Death Match Tour in May 2013, after which he played quite a few shows with them before this one - though yes, this is his third _big_ show with them (if you don't count Budokan Red Night as a separate show). Also there's a pretty decent fancam of them (Mikio, BOH, Hideki, and yet another Kami, ISAO) playing Hill of Wisteria at day 1 of the 2015 Yokohama Arena show kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z56vdJx6atimgZo

Rondo Of Nightmare/With Mischief Of God Intro. (Nippon Budokan Black Night):- This is one of 4 Su-Metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) solo songs. The other 3 are:- 1. "Amore" (Wembley Arena). 2. "No Rain No Rainbow" (Legend A Baptism XX). 3. "Akatsuki" (Same Venue, Nippon Budokan Black Night) Rondo Of Nightmare/With Mischief Of God Intro:- Babymetal:- Babymetal (Japanese: ベビーメタル, Hepburn: Bebīmetaru) (stylized in all caps) is a Japanese kawaii metal band. The band consists of Suzuka Nakamoto as "Su-metal" (Vocal and Dance) and Moa Kikuchi as "Moametal" (Scream and Dance). The band is produced by Kobametal from the Amuse talent agency. Their vocals are backed by heavy metal instrumentation, performed by a group of session musicians known as the "Kami Band" at performances. KamiBand:- "The KamiBand are the instrumentalists (or backing band) in BABYMETAL - Each member is a "god (Kami) of music" summoned by The Fox God stage by stage. All the Kamis have their own jobs and side-projects in addition to BABYMETAL". Current Members Who Perform At Nippon Budokan:- •Takayoshi Ohmura (Guitar, ESP SNAPPER-7/R Gold & Twinkle Pink). •Leda Cygnus (Guitar, ESP BLUE CUSTOM). •Daisuke 'BOH' Bohte (Bass, ATELIER Z BETA 6, Boh'S CUSTOM 6). •Aoyama Hideki (Drums, YAMAHA Signature Drum Kit). BABYMETAL is the youngest act to perform at the Budokan and artists need to be invited to perform there. Live at Budokan: Red Night & Black Night Apocalypse (stylized as LIVE AT BUDOKAN ~RED NIGHT & BLACK NIGHT APOCALYPSE~) is the third live video release by the Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal. It contains two concerts performed at Nippon Budokan shortly after the release of the band's eponymous debut album, and was released on January 7, 2015 in a standard edition and a limited-edition box set exclusively for "The One" fanclub members. Nippon Budokan:- Nippon Budokan (日本武道館, Nippon Budōkan), often shortened to simply Budokan, is an indoor arena located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. Originally built for the inaugural Olympic judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics, its name translates as Martial Arts Hall in English. While its primary purpose is to host martial arts contests, the arena has gained additional fame as one of the world's most iconic musical performance venues. A number of famous rock music acts have played at Budokan. The Beatles were the first rock group to play there in a series of concerts held between June 30 and July 2, 1966. ABBA ended their last tour there. Their final show on March 27, 1980, was the last live concert ABBA performed together. Numerous acts have recorded live albums at Budokan, including Bryan Adams, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Cheap Trick, Dream Theater, Duran Duran, Kiss, Mr. Big, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Journey and Deep Purple. Kamiband : We're gonna blow your minds with our awesome solos! Sumetal : Hold my sake.... Love watching the drummer Hideki in this, when the camera pan to him in the beginning, he looks like he's just casually drumming and not responsible for the machine like pounding in the background with the double kicks. Most singers might get intimidated having to follow the spectacular performance by the Kamiband, but 16yr old Su just gets up there, and shows you why Babymetal was built around her. They all have their side projects, but BOH and Mikio also does Jazz Fusion in Kari band.... One Kari Bands top song on KZbin is Samurai Groove...🤘🦊🤘

If you had been at this concert, you would have had no idea that it was comming as this was a whole new thing for the Kami Band...it was the first time Babymetal had the Kami Band as their backing band for a full concert!! Prior to this show, the backing band for Babymetal was "Babybones" which were just actors in skeleton costumes miming playing the instruments to a backing track and the Kami Band would only come on at the end of the concert to play 4 or 5 encore songs. So they got to show off here a little bit...LoL!! Thanks for the reaction and as always.... Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!

_Yava_ and _Awadama Fever_ are another couple of amazing songs that were sometimes preceded by Kami band solos in the past. Unfortunately, most versions of these songs here on KZbin are quite poor compilation videos, as anything else will be taken down by Amuse. I find it very hard to watch these, as it's so obvious that the fingers on the instruments are out of sync with the music, Su's lips are out of sync with the vocals, and the choreography is out of sync with everything. If you do not mind leaving the reservation for a bit, there are videos out there (outside of KZbin) that you can easily find with a Google search. I would provide links, but KZbin will just delete my comment if I try. The best performances are probably _Yava_ from the *Big Fox Festival,* and _Awadama Fever_ from the *Red Fox Festival.* Both of those will feature the incomparable Mikio Fujioka on guitar (who very sadly passed away in January 2018 after an accidental fall off of an observation deck while stargazing), with his quirky and atonal solos. In fact, those would be some of the very last performances for both Mikio and Yui, as she was about to leave Babymetal for undisclosed health reasons.

For YAVA! at the Big Fox Festival, he could use the Babymetal Reactor Resource - it's uploaded there with a translucent logo over it to get past the copyright bots, but there's a link in the description to the un-obscured version off-site. Wally, if you're reading that, you can watch that version and then edit a logo or a blur effect into your video after the fact. Please do, as it's an awesome song and in my opinion one of their all-time best Kami intros.

Good job. Mischief of Metal Gods is the name of the intro not the backing band. They are The Kami Band (you have information from others on this already I see).

Great reaction and yes, that was from the same show as "Catch me if you can" (Budokan Black Night). Of course, Boh steals the show (probably because you don't see that many bass solos) but each member of the Kami band is insanely skilled. All of them have their own project, but the most known one is probably the Kari band. Some (if not all) of them have released albums or singles and played with their own projects their own shows (or part of a larger show). Solos in order: Leda Cydnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (golden guitar), Boh (bass), and Aoyama Hideki (Drums). This song is probably the darkest in Babymetals discography, a song about Su being trapped in a repeated nightmare, being chased but some invisible entity, fleeing to a well or fountain and begging it to reveal itself before she dies. The Rondo term in the song title has two meanings, one being a musical term for a repeated theme and two the nightmare being repeated over and over again. Can you imagine that this was only the second time this song was performed (it had its premiere the night before)? Su fearlessly singing and dancing on that small platform without any safety net at her age (16!) is just unbelievable. Fantastic song and performance from everyone! looking forward to your next reaction!
